This coming week the Champions League is back in action and many clubs’ hopes of advancing are at stake. Some of the smaller clubs, like Viktoria Plzen, have already been eliminated and only have pride to play for at this point, while others are battling to win their group in order to avoid playing another strong team in the Round of 16. On Tuesday, teams from Groups E-H will take the field and we will have a lot of our questions answered at that point.
The Champions League Group Stage will last from September 18 to December 2. There will be eight groups with four teams in each group, and the top two teams in each group will advance to the Round of 16. Check out all the action this week at BookMaker.

Real Madrid -111
AS Roma +268
Draw +283
Over/Under 3 and 3.5
AS Roma are out to get revenge on Real Madrid after losing 3-0 in the Santiago Bernabeu earlier in the competition. These two teams are tied at the top of Group G, and they both are very likely to advance at this point. They are each sitting on nine points, and the only club that can send them home is CSKA Moscow. CSKA have just four points, and they need to win their last two matches and get help to advance.
Since sacking manager Julen Lopetegui, Real Madrid’s fortunes have turned around. B team manager Santiago Solari has been a breath of fresh air, and the atmosphere has changed around the club. He has led Real Madrid to four straight victories, and they have outscored their opponents 15-2 during that stretch.
Roma are out to make another deep run in the Champions League, but they don’t have the same pieces they did last year. Edin Dzeko has continued to play at a high level, but there aren’t many complementary forwards and midfielders to play off of him.
This is expected to be a high-scoring match, and it should be. Roma proved last year that they aren’t afraid to go toe to toe with some of the most potent attacks, and they won’t shy away from Real Madrid at home with first place in the group on the line.
Valencia +596
Juventus -226
Draw +351
Over/Under 2.5 and 3
The first match between these two teams was strange to say the least. Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off for the first time in his long history in the Champions League after a dubious foul earned him a booking from the referee. The foul occurred early in the first half, and Juventus were knocked down to 10 men for the rest of the match as a result.
However, that did not deter Juventus. They ended up getting the win in Valencia after drawing two penalties, and Miralem Pjanic hammered both of those chances home to give the Italian giants a 2-0 win. Wojciech Szczesny even stopped a Valencia penalty in order to preserve the shutout late.
Coming into this tilt, Juventus are in a commanding position. Even though they were incredibly unlucky against Manchester United in their last match, they are atop the group with nine points and are two points ahead of Man U. and four points in front of Valencia.
Valencia need at least a result and probably a win to keep their Champions League dream alive. With Manchester United facing minnows Young Boys, the Red Devils are likely to grab all three points and put Valencia on the edge heading into their match in Spain on December 12.
Although Valencia need the points here, they won’t get the result they need. Juventus are just too talented, and they will overpower their opponents in Turin. I expect Juventus to win by multiple goals as Valencia continually tries to press.
