The two groups everyone is watching in Champions League action this Tuesday are Group B and Group C. In Group A, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have already qualified and the only question is who will grab first. Group D no longer has any real drama as Porto has finished first and Schalke 04 has taken second.
However, Group B and Group C have plenty at stake. In Group B, Barcelona has clinched first, but Tottenham and Inter Milan are duking it out for second. As for Group C, Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain, and Liverpool are all fighting for two spots. That’s going to create lots of excitement this Tuesday.
On December 17, 2018, the draw for the knockout round of the Champions League will be announced. Shortly after we discover which clubs will be squaring off, BookMaker will release Champions League Round of 16 betting odds. Make sure to log-in to see the lines not long after the draw.

Barcelona +109
Tottenham Hotspur +208
Draw +287
Over/Under 3 and 3.5
The calculus for Tottenham to make it to the next round of the Champions League is simple. Spurs simply need to match or beat whatever result Inter Milan finishes with against PSV Eindhoven. That is a task that is easier said than done though given their opponent.
Barcelona are again performing like one of the top teams in the world, and they will be playing at home for this one. However, the big question is how much effort the Blaugrana will put into this match. They are only one point ahead of Sevilla in La Liga, and the only thing to play for in this match is pride.
That could lead to Ernesto Valverde deciding to sit a lot of his stars. Malcom has already been ruled out for this tilt, and Luis Suarez is only now returning from an injury. Valverde may want to be careful with Lionel Messi too after the Argentinian broke his arm a couple months back.
We are likely to get more clarification on Valverde’s Starting XI after Barca’s tilt with provincial rival Espanyol over the weekend, and that could greatly affect the odds of this match-up. If stars like Messi, Suarez, Ousmane Dembele, and Arthur are in the lineup, I’d back Barca. However, if Valverde sits most of his team, the play is Tottenham.
Liverpool -156
Napoli +370
Draw +319
Over/Under 3 and 3.5
It’s very likely that only one of these two teams will qualify for the next round of the Champions League. Napoli have nine points and Liverpool are sitting on six points, while PSG are on eight points and are heavy favorites against Red Star Belgrade. A PSG win puts them through to the next round, and the last time those teams met, PSG won 6-1.
Liverpool know just how disappointing it would be to crash out of the Champions League in the Group Stage after making it to last year’s final, but they only have themselves to blame for their plight. They failed to grab any results on the road, and their only points have come from home wins. Those results also mean that Liverpool will have to either win 1-0 or by at least two goals if Napoli end up finding the back of the net in this match.
The Reds are certainly capable of pouring in goals, but we have yet to really see that side of the club this season. Instead, they have been more defensive-oriented with Alisson in the lineup. Meanwhile, the threesome have Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mo Salah have looked increasingly frustrated, and to add a degree of difficulty ahead of this one, Mane is dealing with a foot injury. Despite all of this, I think Liverpool will carry the day and get the multiple goal win they need to ensure they advance.
