Paris Saint-Germain are in a commanding position entering the second part of their Champions League Round of 16 tie with Manchester United. PSG went on the road and beat Manchester United 2-0 in Old Trafford in the first leg, so they have plenty of breathing room coming into this one. It would take a miracle for Manchester United to advance to the quarterfinals at this point…or a PSG collapse that we have seen all too often in the Champions League.
This is the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United. This game will take place at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France at 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. It will be televised on TNT.

Odds Analysis
For the last four seasons, the goal for PSG has been clear. Win the Champions League. Ligue 1 has turned into a laugher considering the club’s rampant spending, but the one thing that continues to avoid them is a Champions League title. They have yet to make it past the Quarterfinals, so making it to the Semifinals would be a big step in the right direction.
It seemed clear prior to their first meeting that Manchester United were building up false hope. PSG’s injury concerns led Manchester United fans to be optimistic about their team’s chances, but they were brought back down to Earth pretty quickly. Even without Neymar and Edinson Cavani, PSG still had Kylian Mbappe, Dani Alves, and other superstars, and they led the team to a win.
Key Injuries
Making matters worse for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United is the club’s injury situation. Antonio Valencia has been out for some time, but now others have been added to the injury list. Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, and Ander Herrera have all been ruled out for this match, and it looks like Nemanja Matic will be scratched too after initial hope that he would be available. Matteo Darmian is doubtful, Anthony Martial is questionable, and Phil Jones is probable.
PSG continue to be without two of their top players. Neymar once again suffered a major injury that has knocked him out of the knockout rounds of the Champions League, and he is expected to miss another month with a broken foot. Edinson Cavani has been out for three weeks with a muscle injury, and he is likely to miss the match too. Thomas Meunier is questionable due to a concussion that has kept him out for five straight matches.
Matchup to Watch
The visitors need to score at least two goals in order to advance over PSG, but it’s unclear where the offense will be coming from. Paul Pogba is serving a suspension after being shown two yellows against PSG in the first meeting, and four of the six starters that were up front for Manchester United in the last meeting are injury concerns.
Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku, and Marcus Rashford will need to play well in order for the Red Devils to have any chance. All three players are talented, but only Rashford has played well lately.
Prop Bet – Over 3.5 Goals +155
For as talented as PSG are, the one area where they have been beaten consistently is in defense. Barcelona exploited this more than anyone else, but opponents have shown that PSG can fall if you keep running at them. I believe Solskjaer will open things up earlier than most people expect.

This is going to be fun. PSG will be more than happy to run with Manchester United, as that’s they style they prefer, and that will lead to some scintillating chances. We could see an abundance of goals here.
Champions League Odds: Paris Saint-Germain 3, Manchester United 2
