In a little more than a week, the Europa League will crown a champion. While the four teams involved have already earned a place in the Champions League based on their performances in their domestic leagues, all four clubs would love to add another trophy to their mantle. Sevilla will take on Manchester United in the first Europa League Semifinal on Sunday, and Inter Milan will face Shakhtar Donetsk in the second Europa League Semifinal on Monday.

The most successful team in the history of the Europa League is Sevilla. The Spanish club has claimed five Europa League titles, and all of them have come in the last 15 years. They were the first and only team to threepeat when they won this tournament in 2014, 2015, and 2016, so Sevilla must be respected.
Sevilla have allowed a total of four goals through their nine Europa League matches. They had no problem getting out of a relatively easy group, but they needed to advance to the Round of 16 on the away goals rule in the knockout round against Romanian club Cluj. That back line was rock solid in holding the fort against Roma and Wolves though in order to get to this point.
On the attack, Sevilla will rely on Ever Banega, Jesus Navas, and Lucas Ocampos. Ocampos was sensational throughout the season, so Harry Maguire and the Manchester United back line will be in for a challenge.
Manchester United have been arguably the most impressive team in this year’s Europa League. The Red Devils had no problem getting out of their group, and they hammered their first two opponents in the knockout rounds. United defeated Club Brugge 6-1 on aggregate and dismantled LASK 7-1 after a 5-0 win in the first leg. Copenhagen were able to take United to extra time after a scoreless 90 minutes, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s club wore down the Danes with 14 shots on goal.
Anthony Martial has had an exceptional year for United. Martial tallied 23 goals and nine assists through all competitions, and he won the decisive penalty kick against Copenhagen in the quarterfinals. He will be the focal point of the attack for the Red Devils.

Either Shakhtar Donetsk or Basel were going to be the Cinderella of this competition after their quarterfinals match. The Ukrainian Premier League champions proved victorious, jumping on their Swiss counterparts from the outset with a Junior Moraes goal in the second minute of a 4-1 rout.
That was the third straight opponent Shakhtar destroyed in this competition. After falling out of the Champions League, they defeated Malmo and VfL Wolfsburg by similar 5-1 aggregate scores. Moraes and Alan Patrick have been brilliant for this club this season, and Moraes is closing in on 100 goals as a member of a Ukrainian club.
Inter Milan have won the Europa League three times in their history. All those victories occurred in the 1990s, and a win here would make the club the second-most successful in the competition.
Antonio Conte’s side has played extraordinarily well over the last two months. They held opponents scoreless in five straight matches prior to their 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the quarterfinals, and the defense has been superb. Offensively, the club has found its footing with Romelu Lukaku providing a huge spark. Lukaku had 23 goals in domestic play, and he has made quite the connection with Lautaro Martinez. Inter deserve to be an odds-on favorite per the soccer betting odds to advance to the final.
