2025 NCAA Tournament Final Four Betting
This year’s Final Four has all four No. 1 seeds for just the second time in history, as the Duke Blue Devils, Florida Gators, Houston Cougars and Auburn Tigers will battle in the 2025 Final Four on Saturday, April 5. The first semifinal in the Final Four will see two familiar foes facing off with Florida taking on Auburn, while the nightcap has Duke playing Houston. It just so happens that the only other time all four No. 1 seeds made the Final Four, the games were played in the Alamodome in San Antonio. In 2008, Kansas defeated Memphis to win the national title. It is not often that all four top teams make it this far, as not since 2016 have all four teams made it to the Elite Eight. "The four teams that are advancing, I think they're the best four teams in the country," Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said to the media, "That doesn't obviously always happen." This year’s four top seeds are as good as we have seen in a long time. Duke, Florida, Auburn and Houston had adjusted efficiency margins of 35 or more. That is the number of points they would be expected to outscore the average opponent in 100 possessions. Duke is the favorite heading into the Final Four, as they are led by Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach. The Blue Devils should get a test from a Houston team that plays excellent defense. It is also a revenge game for Houston, as they were leading Duke in last year’s Sweet Sixteen game until guard Jamal Shead suffered an injury. The other matchup has Florida taking on Auburn. These teams met earlier this season and it was the Gators winning by a score of 90-81.
The Final Four in this year’s NCAA Tournament has the Florida Gators listed as a 2.5-point favorite against the Auburn Tigers in the first game on Saturday, April 5, while the second game has the Duke Blue Devils listed as a 5-point favorite against the Houston Cougars. Duke is looking to win its sixth national title and they are the overall favorite in NCAA basketball betting odds. Florida is the second choice in NCAA basketball futures, followed by Houston and Auburn.

The top two teams from the best conference in the country, the SEC, meet in the first Final Four on Saturday. Auburn won the regular season title, while Florida won the SEC Tournament crown. Auburn was the top team in the country for much of the season and they have one of the best players in the nation in Johni Broome. Florida is in the Final Four for the first time since 2014 and they are led by guard Walter Clayton Jr. who continues to make big plays in the clutch.
(1) Duke vs. (1) Houston, 8:49 PM | CBS, (Duke -5, O/U 136.5)
The best defensive team in the country, the Houston Cougars, will face one of the best offensive teams in the country, the Duke Blue Devils. Houston allowed just 58.5 points per game this season and they completely shut down a Tennessee team in the Elite Eight, hosing them almost 25 points below their scoring average. Houston can also score, as they are led by L.J. Cryer, Emanuel Sharp and Milo Uzan. Houston faces a tough task in Duke who is led by All-America freshman Cooper Flagg. Duke can also play defense as they proved in the Elite Eight, as they shut down the highest scoring team in the country, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
NCAA Tournament Final Four Format
The Final Four is comprised of the remaining teams from the original 68-team field of the NCAA Tournament. After the First Four, the field is divided into four mini-brackets of 16 teams apiece, and the winner of each bracket goes on to reach the Final Four. The NCAA Selection Committee tries to reward the best teams with games closer to home, so that plays a part in the seeding. The brackets are broken up into the East Regional, the Midwest Regional, the South Regional, and the West Regional.
