Old School Meets New School
The Arizona State Sun Devils and Colorado Buffaloes have both turned in some surprisingly good campaigns up to this point in the season and are in the thick of the race in the Pac-12 South. They face off in a crucial Week 7 matchup this week which will help clear up a crowded group atop the pack....
The Florida State Seminoles used a blocked extra point to squeak out a win over the Miami Hurricanes last week. Florida State has some work to do to get back in the hunt for the ACC title, and can’t afford a slip-up in Week 7 against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons....
It hasn’t always been pretty, but the Clemson Tigers continue to march along undefeated, priming themselves for another berth in the College Football Playoff. They shouldn’t have much problem in a Week 7 matchup against the North Carolina State Wolfpack....
The West Virginia Mountaineers are one of only 11 undefeated teams remaining in college football, but will get a big challenge in Week 7. West Virginia will travel to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a game that is a virtual toss-up....
After a pair of losses to nationally-ranked foes in the non-conference season, the Oklahoma Sooners could have allowed their campaign to go in the tank. Instead they got back on track early in Big 12 play and will aim to remain undefeated in the conference in a Week 7 matchup with the Kansas State Wildcats....
The Utah Utes are in the thick of a cloudy Pac-12 South race, and need to pick up every winnable game they can. Utah will be a significant road favorite against the Oregon State Beavers in Week 7, and it’s crucial in order to keep pace....
The surprising Washington State Cougars are one of only two teams undefeated in Pac-12 play, and hope to continue that when they host the UCLA Bruins in Week 7. Washington State is one of the toughest teams to peg in the league as they are so inconsistent....
No one expected the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors to be in first place of the West Division of the Mountain West Conference this season. Hawaii had what may have been the most brutal non-conference slate of any team in the country with a neutral site game against California in Australia, followed by road games against Michigan and Arizona before conference play started. Despite all that though, they are 2-0 in conference and will look to make it 3-0 before a brutal stretch when they face the UNLV Rebels in Week 7 College Football action. This matchup in Week 7 will take place on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 12 a.m. ET at Hawaiian Airlines Field at Aloha Stadium....
Two Mountain West teams that made bowls last season but are off to shaky starts this season will look to right the ship in Week 7 of College Football action on Saturday night. Things are looking a little rosier for the Nevada Wolfpack who sit at 3-3 coming in this one and are halfway to bowl eligibility. Their opponents in this one are in much worse shape. The San Jose Spartans are just 1-5 and face an uphill climb if they want to get back to the postseason. This matchup in Week 7 will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 10:30 p.m. ET at Spartan Stadium. This game will be broadcast on CBSS....
The Memphis Tigers are road favorites on Friday night in Week 7 action as they visit the Tulane Green Wave in a game that can be seen on ESPN U. The Tigers are coming off a big comeback win over Temple last week as they scored 27 straight points to win 34-27 while the Green Wave have had a lot of time to get ready for this contest as they beat Massachusetts two weeks ago. It has been all Memphis in this series of late as they have won the past nine meetings.Watch this regular season Week 7 matchup live on Friday, October 14, 2016, at 8 p.m. ET at Yulman Stadium....
The Sun Belt Conference has a history of teams going winless in out-of-conference play, only to turn around and end up winning the conference title. The Arkansas State Red Wolves hope to be the next in a long line of teams to achieve that feat. Arkansas State failed to take a game in its non-conference slate, even falling to FCS Central Arkansas, but upset Georgia Southern last week and are 1-0 in conference. Now the Red Wolves will host the South Alabama Jaguars in College Football Week 7 and try to move to 2-0 in Sun Belt play....
How hard are the San Diego State Aztecs kicking themselves right now? A shocking loss to South Alabama likely cost this team any chance at the Group of Five spot in a New Year’s Day bowl that is all of a sudden wide open after Houston’s loss to Navy. The Aztecs are still considered one of the favorites in the Mountain West though and will look to affirm their status against the Fresno State Bulldogs in Week 7 College Football....
The Louisville Cardinals’ fantastic start came to a halt last week against Clemson, but the team played well enough to keep it in the College Football Playoff conversation. Louisville will need to run the table to have that chance, which starts with a bounce-back in Week 7 against the Duke Blue Devils....
The Georgia Bulldogs got back on track last week with a much-needed win over South Carolina and will look to make it two in a row taking on the Vanderbilt Commodores this week at home....
The Florida Gators have a tough second half of the season ahead of them which includes matchups against Georgia, Arkansas and Florida State. Still, the team must be careful not to overlook anyone right now beginning with this Week 7 showdown against the Missouri Tigers....
The BYU Cougars are coming off a strong victory last week at Michigan State, scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to pull off the road upset. BYU has won two straight to get back to .500 on the season and will aim to keep it rolling this week against the Mississippi State Bulldogs....
The Ole Miss Rebels and the Arkansas Razorbacks both have two losses on the season so far, but each of them have come to quality teams. These conference foes face a crucial test in Week 7 as neither can afford a loss in another big-time SEC matchup....
Everyone is sleeping on the Memphis Tigers. Justin Fuente may have left for greener pastures in the ACC, but this is still one of the top mid-major programs in the country. The Tigers have only lost once all season, to No. 14 Ole Miss, but have been great aside from that. Memphis is looking to show that it is being overlooked in the AAC race with a statement win in Week 7 College Football against the Tulane Green Wave....
What a monumental win that was for the Navy Midshipmen! Navy closed as a 15.5-point home underdog last week against the No. 6 Houston Cougars and almost everyone, including yours truly, didn’t give them a chance to win. However, the Midshipmen came out on fire and gashed the Cougars for over 300 yards on the ground en route to a 46-40 win. Now Navy has to turn around on a short week and take on the East Carolina Pirates on Thursday night of College Football Week 7 action....
The Appalachian State Mountaineers started the season with a bang, almost knocking off the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville in what would have been one of the biggest wins ever for a Sun Belt Conference team. The Mountaineers ended up falling just short, but are 3-0 against non-Power Five teams and are considered one of the favorites to win the conference crown. They will face a mid-week test in College Football Week 7 action when they travel to take on the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns....
There aren't going to be that many more chances to knock off the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes. These two teams are the top two in America for sure, and it isn't often that they're going to be playing on the road against Top 10 teams again for the rest of the year. The time is now to jump on these teams if they're going to be beaten, and in a year where at least one of the Top 10 teams in the nation has gone down every single week, this is a golden opportunity for Tennessee and Wisconsin respectively to shine....

Ohio State has a huge talent advantage and is a heavy favorite to take care of business.
