Bryce Young is favored in 2023 NFL Draft betting odds to be the first overall pick. The Chicago Bears hold the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but all indications are that the Bears will trade that pick. Young is considered the top quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft class and it is hard to argue, as he won the Heisman Trophy in 2021 and he was great again in 2022. The Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks have two first-round picks, while the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers will not have a first round selection.

Odds Analysis
Bryce Young -165
Young was excellent in his career at Alabama and he looks like a franchise quarterback. He has quick feet and his poise and vision are excellent. He avoids rushers and keeps his eyes downfield. He doesn’t have the height of some other quarterbacks, but there is no question he has all the tools to be an excellent NFL quarterback. He looks to me like a better version of Kyler Murray, as Young actually makes good decisions, while Murray oftentimes makes mistakes.
CJ Stroud +350
Stroud has the size and the arm strength that scouts love, but he doesn’t move as well in the pocket as Young and he doesn’t have the vision that Young has. If you are looking at physical skills then Stroud looks great, but there are some concerns about his ability to lead a team and make good decisions.
Anthony Richardson +800
If you look simply at the raw skills, it is hard to ignore Richardson. He is big and athletic and looks a lot like Lamar Jackson. He has some of the same skills as Jackson, as he is tough to bring down and his arm strength is off the charts. Like Jackson, he also makes poor decisions and his accuracy is up and down.
Will Levis +900
Another quarterback who has the physical skills to play in the NFL is Levis. He has an excellent arm and can move around in the pocket. There are some serious concerns about his accuracy and his decision making, but NFL teams take chances all the time with quarterbacks who have physical skills.
Jalen Carter +1400
Perhaps the best player in the 2023 NFL Draft is Carter, but since quarterbacks always get a lot of love, it is unlikely Carter goes first overall. He is a superb defensive tackle who has excellent quickness and power. He is a player who can make plays on the edge and when healthy is a player who will force double teams.
Will Anderson +1400
Another excellent defensive player in the 2023 NFL Draft is Anderson who is a great edge rusher. NFL teams are always looking for pass rushers, and Anderson fits the bill. He is also fast enough to be a cover linebacker, so he is going to be a high NFL Draft pick.
