The Chicago Bears visit the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football on NBC. The Bears come into this game at 5-5 and two games behind the Packers who are 7-3. Chicago is fortunate just to have five wins considering they have the worst offense in the NFC. Just think about that fact for a minute. The Bears have a worse offense than the New York Giants. Chicago will have to find a way to score points on Sunday because they face a Green Bay team that has scored the third-most points in the NFC. Let’s look at Sunday Night Football and NFL picks.

Bears vs. Packers TV Coverage: NBC
The Packers have owned the Bears recently, sweeping the season series in seven of the last 11 years. Green Bay could make some history on Sunday night, as with a win they will have beaten Chicago for the 100th time. Based on how the Bears have played recently, the Packers should get the win on Sunday night. Chicago comes in having lost four straight games and their offense has been pathetic.
History is against the Bears on Sunday night. The Packers are 5-0 after a loss under head coach Matt LaFleur. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is 19-4 with a 102.1 passer rating (47 touchdowns, 12 interceptions) in 23 games against Chicago and the Bears are 0-2 after a bye under head coach Matt Nagy.
Key Matchup
I thought about putting Chicago linebacker Khalil Mack going against Green Bay’s offensive line as the key matchup, but the Packers are going to score, regardless of how well Mack plays. The key to this game is whether or not Chicago can run the ball. If they are one dimensional then they are going to struggle because they have no playmakers. Allen Robinson is a good receiver, but he is not a game changer. The Bears need David Montgomery to run the ball effectively on Sunday night. He is averaging just 3.6 yards per carry this season but he has been effective at breaking tackles, ranking 10th in the league. Green Bay is just 21st in the league against the run, allowing 4.4 yards per carry.
Key Trends
The Bears are 5-14 ATS in the last 19 meetings in this series. The Bears are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games overall. The Bears are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Packers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in November. The Under is 6-1 in the Bears last 7 games overall. The Under is 9-3 in the Packers last 12 vs. the NFC North.
Bears vs. Packers Free Pick
I have been picking totals lately and I should know better, as I usually struggle picking totals. I won’t make that mistake this week, as I’ll get back to picking a side. I would like to make a case for taking Chicago because I know the public is going to be all over the Packers in this game. The Bears offense under Nick Foles has been a disaster and it could be time for Chicago to go back to Mitch Trubisky. If it is indeed Trubisky on Sunday night then Chicago might have a chance. Trubisky can at least run around a little bit but he is prone to making mistakes. The Green Bay defense is not that good and it is at least possible that Trubisky could make some plays and keep Chicago in the game. That being said, I can’t go against the Packers coming off a loss. Green Bay’s offense is simply too good for Chicago to contain and eventually the Packers should pull away for the win.
Bears vs. Packers Week 12 ATS Pick: Packers -8.5
