Bills at Ravens NFL Week 4 Parlay Picks

The strong play of Josh Allen has led the Buffalo Bills to an undefeated start to the 2024 season. It also moved Allen up the odds board as an early season MVP candidate. In a key Week 4 matchup Allen and the Bills visit reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. The Bills obliterated Jacksonville, 47-10, on Monday night and have outscored their three opponents 112-48 with Allen accounting for nine touchdowns. They are the best team in the NFL right now. The Ravens avoided a 0-3 start staving off Dallas, 28-25, last week for their first payout of the season and they are a 2.5-point favorite on the early line at the Crypto Sportsbook. Buffalo won the previous two meetings holding the Ravens to just 23 total points while cashing the UNDER both times.

One week after hitting my NFL same game parlay the betting Gods brought me back down to earth with a humbling loss in last week’s SNF contest. The Chiefs are one of if not the best team in close games eking out another victory, 22-17, over the Falcons. I had Atlanta using the momentum from their win over Eagles in Week 2, which paid off handsomely for me on my same game parlay, to cover. They failed as a 3.5-point dog while also cashing the UNDER. I also backed Travis Kelce to have more than four receptions. He finished with that number giving me an ohfer.

It’s back to SNF for this game and I really like the Bills. Allen has been spectacular completing 75 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and no interceptions. The knock against him in the past was his turnover count and with that under control the Bills lead the NFL in scoring with a 37.3 average having scored at least 31 points in every game. They’ve been solid defensively as well allowing just 4.5 yards per play, the second fewest in the NFL.

With Allen and Jackson leading the way it’s easy to assume points will be scored. The Ravens average a NFL best 430.3 yards behind a ground game that nets more than 200 yards a game. But the Ravens have struggled converting those yards into touchdowns averaging just over 23 points. Derrick Henry has contributed in his first season rushing for 281 yards and four scores with Jackson adding 254 yards on the ground. They are the only teammates to rank among the top 10 in the NFL in rushing yards.

Jackson has also had difficulties in previous games against the Bills. He lost his last two starts against them including a home playoff game following the 2020 season. He threw for just 306 yards combined in those games with three interceptions and the Ravens scored a total of 23 points. He has been able to run the ball against Buffalo’s defense with at least nine rush attempts in each of his three starts. With a banged up line you have to believe he’ll have opportunities just by avoiding sacks so I’m backing the OVER on his 58.5 rushing yards total.

We’ve become accustomed to seeing the Ravens bully opponents with a savage defense in the past. That hasn’t been the case so far in 2024. They nearly blew a big lead last week allowing Dallas to stage a fourth-quarter comeback. They did squander a double-digit fourth quarter lead in their Week 2 upset loss to Las Vegas. The teams have played below the total in three straight games and in five of the previous six meetings, and I can see it happening again.
