Only eight teams have higher season win total odds than that of Sean McDermott’s Buffalo Bills entering the 2020-21 regular season. After stockpiling 10 wins a season ago to destroy its 7-game win total, linemakers have upped the ante with Josh Allen and company owners of a 9-game win total. The betting markets look to be bullish on the Bills as well with heavy -123 juice in support of Buffalo at least matching last season’s 10-win output. For the first time since 1995, the Bills are a serious threat to the New England Patriots in regards to AFC East bragging rights. Buffalo split the season rivalry with the Pats a season ago, and looks to be the team most ready to take that next step within the division. Once it was announced that Tom Brady would be playing in Tampa the next few seasons, Buffalo saw its odds to win the AFC East plummet to the point that it’s now slight favorites to win it!
Buffalo Bills Season Win Total: 9 Over -123
Though the Bills 2019-20 campaign ultimately ended in a sickening overtime loss to the Houston Texans in a game they held a 16-0 third quarter lead in, you can’t help but chalk the season up as a success. Allen grew as the franchise’s QB1 in becoming one of the more feared dual-threat QBs the league currently has to offer. While his passing prowess left much to be desired – especially of the deep ball variety – he was still stellar in the red zone where he completed 48 percent of his passes for 12 TDs and no picks. On top of that, he rushed for over 500 yards and 9 TD; third to only Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray. Unfortunately, it was his inability to move the chains through the air that ultimately cost the Bills versus the Texans. That’s something upper management went out and tried to rectify by giving him a field stretcher to work with in the form of Stefon Diggs who should make some sweet music with John Brown and Cole Beasley proving to be fine compliments. Should Devin Singletary take his game to the next level in his sophomore campaign, Buffalo just might have the efficient offense it needs to compliment one of the more underrated defenses in the NFL and become a bonafide Super Bowl contender.

Buffalo Bills Schedule Analysis
You know you’ve arrived when the NFL grants you prime-time slots. Buffalo received four such matchups with each and every one coming against a potential playoff team. This is a squad that cut its teeth on the road a season ago in going 6-2 SU and 6-0-2 ATS; hard-fought wins at both Pittsburgh and Dallas came away as quite impressive. Buffalo will have a tremendous shot of entering its Week 5 tilt at Tennessee unblemished at 4-0 with games slated to go against the Jets, Dolphins, Rams and Raiders to kick off the season. If they don’t, the Bills might have a tougher than expected time surpassing this impost with a hellacious schedule set to play out from Weeks 5 through 14. In the mix are games against the Titans, Chiefs, Patriots, Seahawks, Chargers, 49ers and Steelers. Also in that mix are road games at the Jets and Cardinals. The final three weeks of the season likely won’t be a walk in the park either with back-to-back road games against Denver and New England followed by the regular season home finale against Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins.
I was all in on the Bills improving dramatically last season. With that, it should come as no surprise to see that I’m bullish on them building upon that 10-win season and turning it into something bigger and better. Will it result in a Super Bowl victory? No, let’s be real - this is still the Buffalo Bills we’re talking about! However, that doesn’t mean we can’t all make some solid coin backing them on the NFL betting lines for the second straight season. This is a team that won 10 regular season games and backed that record up with a 9-6-1 showing against the linemakers. Current game-by-game odds have the Bills installed favorites 11 times, underdogs in five and one pick ‘em at Denver. The additions made on the defensive side of the ball should make up for a number of integral defections, while the addition of Diggs should help Allen complete many more deep strikes. The fact that linemakers bumped the team’s season win total up two games from a season ago is telling. They just might be the AFC East champs come season’s end!
