Commanders at Eagles NFC Championship Parlay Picks

Two teams quite familiar with each other will tangle for the right to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LIX when division foes the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles meet on Sunday, January 26. The game kicks off from Lincoln Financial Field at 3 p.m. ET and will air on FOX. The teams split their regular season series with each winning at home. Prior to Washington’s 36-33 victory in Week 16 the Eagles had won three in a row and six of the previous seven meetings. Led by Jayden Daniels, the Commanders upset No.1 seed Detroit in the divisional round for their seventh consecutive win overall going 5-2 against the NFL betting line at the Crypto Sportsbook in that span.

Each team earned a payout home win during the regular season series with the team formerly known as the Redskins solving Philadelphia’s top ranked defense in their 36-33 victory. The Eagles led the NFL during the season allowing an average of just 278.4 yards while holding teams to 17.8 points per outing. The Commanders and Daniels opened some eyes in their Week 16 win over the Eagles overcoming a 13-point fourth quarter deficit and the club already has experienced hostile environments this postseason.

Daniels has completed around 70 percent of his passes in two postseason wins throwing for two touchdowns in each game. The team was fifth in scoring during the regular season and put up a season-high in its 45-31 win over Detroit. Daniels was 22 of 31 for 299 yards and also rushed for 51 yards to complement Brian Robinson, who had 77 yards on the ground and two TDs. Daniels was at his best in the win over Eagles throwing five TD passes, including the game-winner in the final seconds.

There was an asterisk in that Week 16 matchup with Jalen Hurts playing only a few snaps before exiting with a concussion. Playing most of the game with backup Kenny Pickett the Eagles had nearly 350 yards of offense and scored more than 30 points for the fourth time. With Saquon Barkley taking over as the main weapon on offense Hurts hasn’t been asked to do as much. And he has seemingly relished that role. He had less than 3,000 yards passing during the season and hasn’t had more than 200 passing yards in any of his two postseason games. He hasn’t thrown the football that much either with just 20 attempts in the 28-22 win over the Rams.

Winning is what matters and the Eagles have done that at an amazing rate. They’ve lost just one game since late September, that being to Washington in Week 16, while winning 14 times. They’ve been good for backers as well with payouts in 10 of those contests. And they’ve been good at home winning their last nine though they are just 5-4 ATS in those contests.

We should see a good dose of Barkley in this game with the Eagles eager to keep the football away from Daniels and Washington’s offense. And why not hand the ball to a guy who rushed for more than 2,000 yards during the regular year. Not playing in Week 18 has energized Barkley as he continued his tear in the playoffs. He rushed for 119 yards against Green Bay in the wild card game and had 205 yards and two TDs on 26 attempts in the win over the Rams.

Barkley was consistent in his games against Washington rushing for 146 and 150 yards averaging more than 5.0 yards per pop. With a rushing yards prop at 128.5 I value the OVER. I also like the Eagles, who haven’t committed a turnover this postseason and were among the leaders in fewest giveaways during the regular year. They also won’t allow Daniels to throw five TD passes which is why I’m backing the home team minus the points and the UNDER.
