At first glance this looks like an easy prop for KD to win, but the dynamics of the Warriors offense have changed since Demarcus Cousins joined the club.
Durant’s points per game have dropped since Boogie entered the lineup, and with one more mouth to feed, KD is averaging nearly five points per game fewer. And the Dubs are on one of their runs that allow starters to sit for lengthy periods in the second half, which will figure into the total. Meanwhile, the Super Bowl has the feeling of being a shootout, and Goff is pretty good in those types of games. A nice little all-New England prop bet in this one featuring the hoops team and Kyrie Irving. Undoubtedly the leader of the Celtics, Irving has been vocal regarding his teams play this year. And like a good leader, he’s backed up his comments. He leads the team in scoring with 23.7 points and gets 3.5-points on the prop line. We’ve seen Irving go off several times with three 30-point games in his last five, but like a true point guard he’d rather get his mates involved.
And that’s what Tom Brady does, and he’s been very good this postseason. With Brady averaging over 340 yards in the playoffs, the Pats have scored 39 points on average. And the onslaught should continue in a Super Bowl that has all the trimmings to be a shootout. Irving will probably produce another 20-point game, but the Pats and Brady have been nearly unstoppable and they should do enough damage against the Rams to withstand giving away a few points.
