Will a Field Goal or PAT Hit The Uprights?
Yes +716
No -1585
Cody Parkey isn’t kicking in this game so the popular answer would be NO. However, given the magnitude and scope of the contest you can bet both Greg Zuerlein and Stephen Gostkowski will have some jitters. The guys have done this hundreds of times and Gostkowski has kicked in the Super Bowl before, but it’s still the biggest game with everybody in the universe watching. And sometimes you just never know where the ball is going, kinda like my golf game. I try not to hit the ball into the water or sand, but it always finds a way. And the way things have gone for kickers this season one will find a way of tapping the upright.
Prediction: Yes ( +716 )
NFL Make Pass Interference Reviewable Next Year?
Yes +137
No -167
This is a slippery slope for the league and even though an egregious error was made in the NFC Championship, denying the Saints a chance to earn a trip to Atlanta, Roger Goodell better not cave on this one. I’m sure the NFL will take a long look at what it can do better to officiate those particular plays in the offseason, but a knee jerk reaction would cause more harm than good. Stay away from making the change and take the NO.
Prediction: No ( -167 )
Will the NFL Change The Overtime Rules?
Yes +450
No -800
This one has a better chance of getting the green light than making pass interference a reviewable play. And after watching Patrick Mahomes stand on the sideline without taking the field in the extra session of the AFC Championship, the league should make a change. Will it come this weekend? It’s a simple tweak and not much changes from the current format. Just give each team one possession and if the game remains tied it becomes sudden death. There, problem solved. Make the change so we can see Mahomes compete for the conference title.
Prediction: Yes ( +450 )
Will Any Player Kneel on Field During National Anthem?
Yes +685
No -1442
This is the biggest stage for a player to demonstrate his right of free speech. But one thing I’ve noticed over the course of the last few seasons is that players on these teams show respect for the game and the flag. They may have their own differing beliefs, but when it comes time for the Anthem, I don’t think we’ll see a player or players take a knee. And besides, the Empress of Soul Gladys Knight will not allow for that to happen. The payout isn’t huge, but it’s something if you bet NO.
Prediction: No ( -1442 )
Will it be Mentioned That Brady Was Drafted 199th?
Yes +474
No -743
For the sake of comparing the two quarterbacks I have to say YES to this prop. In his previous eight Super Bowls, Brady went head-to-head with more undrafted quarterbacks than No. 1 overall picks, and that’s something that should be mentioned. Of course he played the No. 1 pick twice and lost both times with Eli Manning and the Giants prevailing. Kurt Warner of the Rams and Jake Delhomme of the Panthers were opposing QBs in Brady’s first two Super Bowl games, both undrafted and losers to Brady.
Prediction: Yes ( +474 )
