The New York Giants visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night in a game that can be seen on FOX and NFL Network. The NFC East is the worst division in the NFL and even though the Giants and Eagles have just one win each, they are both in contention to win the division. The Giants could actually move past the Eagles into second place in the division with a win on Thursday. Let’s look at the Thursday night matchup and NFL picks.

Odds Analysis
The line on this game has moved toward the Giants and the under in early betting. The public always remembers what they saw last and the Giants are coming off their first win of the season, while the Eagles lost yet again. It is a little surprising that bettors are taking New York considering the win the Giants got came against the hapless Redskins, while the Eagles loss came against the Baltimore Ravens.
Injury Report
The Giants have had a lot of injuries this season and they are without their top offensive player in Saquon Barkley. The Giants have struggled on offense and their receiving corps has been hit by injury all season. They have been missing Sterling Shepard since Week 2 but there is a chance he could return this week. Wide receiver C.J. Board was hurt last week and his status is questionable for this week. The Giants finished with just three receivers last week, Darius Slayton, Golden Tate and rookie Austin Mack.
The Eagles are also dealing with injuries, especially on offense. Zach Ertz and Miles Sanders were injured on Sunday and both players are listed as questionable for Thursday. The Eagles are very concerned about Sanders, as he ranks 4th in the NFL in rushing yards this season. He was scheduled for an MRI on Monday. The loss of Ertz would also be huge, as the team is already without tight end Dallas Goedert. The good news for the Eagles is that they are expected to get DeSean Jackson back from injury on Thursday.
Matchup to Watch
If the Giants are to win this game or cover the spread, they are going to have to find a way to put points on the board. New York’s offense has struggled for much of this season, so the key matchup on Thursday will be the New York offense against the Philadelphia defense. The Eagles have not played well on defense for much of this season, so the Giants may be able to move the ball. The key will be whether or not Daniel Jones can avoid turning the ball over. If Jones can make a few plays and avoid mistakes, the Giants can stay in this game.
Game Trends
The Giants are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games against Philadelphia. The Giants are 6-0 ATS in their last six road games. The Eagles are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games. Eight of the last nine games in Philly have gone under the total. This series has been almost all Philadelphia of late, as they have won 9 of the last 10 meetings, but they are just 5-5 ATS. Seven of those ten meetings went over the total.
Free ATS Pick
This is really an ugly Thursday night contest. The Giants are not a good team, but they are coming off a win, while the Eagles have shown some signs of life, but Philadelphia still has problems on both sides of the ball. I will avoid a side and just play the game to go under the total.
NFL Pick: Eagles 20, Giants 14
