The AFC South leading Tennessee Titans just came up with their best win of the season after fighting tooth-and-nail with the Buffalo Bills to come out with the impressive 34-31 outright win and cover as 6-point home underdogs per the closing Week 6 NFL odds. Their reward for pulling off such a feat is a date with Patrick Mahomes and the win-hungry Kansas City Chiefs; schedule makers are unkind! Andy Reid’s squad got back on track last week by going into Washington and taking care of business against the terribly disappointing Football Team. While the 31-13 final paints a picture of rainbows and butterflies, things still aren’t where KC needs them to be; they trailed the WFT 13-10 at halftime. Regardless, the NFL betting markets are hammering the Chiefs at online sportsbooks with reckless abandon much like they did with Buffalo last Monday night. Have we not learned anything people?! Regardless of this being a quintessential letdown spot for the Titz, I simply won’t buy into the Chiefs and their pathetic excuse of a defense laying this type of number on the road against a team with Derrick Henry in the backfield!

Kansas City Chiefs -5.5
Tennessee Titans +5.5
Total 57.5
Odds Analysis
The look-ahead lines had the visiting Chiefs installed 3.5-point favorites and the total set at a whopping 56.5; by far the highest total on the Week 7 slate. But with the Chiefs seemingly doing their best work away from Arrowhead Stadium in winning and covering two of their three played games, the betting markets have gravitated towards laying the road chalk with the reigning two-time defending AFC champs. The point spread is up to -5.5 with 72 percent of the tickets and an alarming 94 percent of the money backing the visitors. The O/U is also up a full point to 57.5 with 70 percent of the action and 83 percent of the money expecting the Nissan Stadium scoreboard operators to be busy right from the opening kick.
Player Prop Targets
The Chiefs are going to be able to pass at will on a Titans secondary conceding over 276 yards per game (No. 24) and 7.7 yards per pass attempt (No. 27). On the flipside, the Titans are going to be able to run at will against a Kansas City run defense that’s been gouged for over 133 yards per game (No. 27) and 5.2 yards per carry (No. 30). With that, we’ll be targeting both Patrick Mahomes and Derrick Henry in the player props market. Tennessee has served up over 1,700 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks and an average of 2.0 passing TD per game. With that, seek out the best price on Mahomes’ passing yard and touchdown props and hit the over. It won’t be for the faint of heart, but also look to target what’s surely to be an inflated rushing yards prop for the King. It’s likely going to be in the 125-135 range as pathetic KC’s run D is. Don’t sweat it, hit the over! I wouldn’t be the least bit shocked if the runaway truck went for two-plus spins!
Free ATS Pick
Fingers crossed Mother Nature allows for these teams to go at one another on a dry track with limited wind. As of right now, the forecast calls for a beautiful yet cloudy 72 degree day with almost no chance of rain and the wind in the 9-11 mph range out of the southwest. I’ll take it! Combined, these teams clock in 8-4 to the over with an average of 57.3 points hitting the board. The four unders cashed only because one team failed to show up. I firmly expect both sides to bring their “A” games to the gridiron for this one. Tennessee won’t forget how to run offense like the WFT did last week, and the Chiefs always have the pedal to the metal. KC won’t have the ability to rely on its ground game either with the Titz lone strength on the defensive side of the ball coming with stopping the run (No. 10). With that, there’s going to be a ton of passing on their part in this game. As for Tennessee, I fully expect King Henry to dictate how the game moves along. He’ll bust at least one if not two of his patented long touchdown gallops to keep the pressure on the visitors as he’s always one missed tackle or stiff arm away from six. The last team with the ball wins this game. Should either get out to a double-digit lead, hit the other side on the readjusted live betting lines. As for pre-game action, slam the over and enjoy the fireworks display!
NFL Pick: Titans 45, Chiefs 41
