Losers in five of their last six games and winless at home this season, the San Francisco 49ers look to put a stop to both skids when they host the Los Angeles Rams in the Week 10 edition of Monday Night Football. The Rams will attempt to get back in the win column and stay within striking distance of NFC West leader Arizona after a humbling setback to the Titans last week put an end to their 4-game winning streak. The Rams will have to stop a 4-game losing skid to the Niners and they are positioned as a 4-point favorite on the NFL betting line to do that.
This regular season Week 10 matchup will take place on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 8:15 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA and will be televised on ESPN.

Odds Analysis
We saw some play in the line with early action favoring the visitors. The Rams hit the board as a field goal favorite with that number wagered up a full point to LA -4. Action on the OVER also caused the total to spike reaching 50 after hitting the board at 47. LA’s loss last week as a 7-point favorite stopped the team’s longest winning streak of the year and was their third straight ATS setback. In games where the Rams are favored by four or more points they are 5-1 SU and 2-4 ATS. The Niners haven’t done themselves or their backers any favors over the last two months going 1-5 SU and ATS in their last six games. They’ve also dropped eight straight home games going 1-7 ATS in that span.
Player to Watch
Jimmy Garoppolo’s time as the Niners starting quarterback could be winding down. The team invested heavily to draft Trey Lance giving up plenty of draft capital and it looks like only a matter of time before the switch is made. It hasn’t taken place yet with Kyle Shanahan claiming he’ll wait until he believes Lance is ready. In the meantime it’s Jimmy G’s show and he has a lot to prove. Injuries have affected his time in the Bay Area, but he did lead the club to the Super Bowl just a few years ago. Garoppolo probably didn’t get enough credit since the club had a devastating run game and a top defense.
And while the team has struggled this season it isn’t all Garoppolo’s fault. In fact he’s been playing at a high level the past few weeks giving fans an optimistic outlook for the remainder of the season. Garoppolo helped snap a 4-game losing streak throwing for 322 yards with two rushing scores in a 33-22 win over the in Week 8. He followed that with 326 passing yards and a pair of scores last week in a loss to Arizona giving him back to back 300-yard passing games for only the second time in a Niners uniform. He’ll get a lot of the blame for a late interception that squelched a drive and because he’s the quarterback, but Garoppolo hasn’t been the problem as the team struggles to get wins.
Key Stat
The term home field advantage does not apply to the Niners, but the law of averages says they are due to win a game soon. They were favored in every game this season and dropped all four with the last two by double digits. With the division-leading Cardinals playing without Kyler Murray last week, the Niners had a great opportunity to close the gap in the standings. Instead they allowed backup Colt McCoy to complete 22 of 26 for 249 yards and yielded 437 total yards.
Since the start of the 2020 season the Niners are a mind-numbing 1-11 SU at home with last week’s defeat extending their overall home losing streak to eight games while going 1-7 ATS. Their last home win was over a year ago when they beat the Rams 24-16 as a 2.5-point dog. That was one of only two payouts over that 12-game span.

The moves have to make the players on the roster excited and they’ll do their part to respond to a bad loss to Tennessee. LA’s offense is explosive and I don’t see the Niners keeping up, which is why I’m backing the visitors.
