After five weeks of the season the NFC East is anybody’s division, and that includes the New York Giants, who fell to 1-4 with a gut-wrenching loss to the Panthers last week. But at least they awoke from their offensive slumber by producing 31 points and a few tricky plays to keep things interesting. The Eli Manning-Odell Beckham Jr. dynamic will be front and center for the Week 6 Thursday Night Football matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles now that OBJ’s comments about his quarterback are out there. But if the Giants can produce like they did on Sunday, the victories will follow. If not, it’s going to be another long season.
Watch this Week 6 regular season matchup live on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 8:20 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium.

After their run to the Super Bowl title last season, the Eagles were expected to run away with the division. Hold on. A new season, a new set of challenges and with a target on their back, the Eagles have struggled much like every team in the NFC East. They are the defending champs with plenty of talent to make a run at a repeat, but the return of Carson Wentz hasn’t been the deciding factor in an Eagles revival. Philly opened as a 3-point favorite on the NFL betting line and given how unpredictable the league and the division is, even that number could change before Thursday.
With OBJ and Saquon Barkley, the Giants have some gifted players at the skill positions. For the most part the No. 2 overall pick has been a flop running the football. He has fewer than 50 yards on the ground in three of five games and topped 100-yards just once, that coming in the season opener with the help of a 68-yard touchdown run. He’s been more effective in the passing game with at least four catches in each of the last four outings, including a team season-best 14 against Dallas in Week 2.
All told Barkley has surpassed 100 yards from scrimmage in every game and will be a key figure against Philly’s swarming defense. Manning won’t have much time to throw downfield, instead using Barkley as an outlet. Keep that in mind when wagering with the live betting platform at BookMaker.eu.
Against the Panthers on Sunday we saw the Giants get creative in their play calling. OBJ threw a touchdown pass to Barkley before catching his first touchdown of the season. Beckham isn’t going to do that every game, but it’s a wrinkle that opponents have to think about. And now that the seal has been broken on OBJ’s touchdown catches, and he’s called out his quarterback in an attempt to unify the team, look for Beckham to become a bigger part of the offensive game plan. The Giants will have success when Beckham gets his targets, and Manning will force-feed his No. 1 option, which will lead to a number of catches over the total on a prop bet at BookMaker.eu.
We can’t call the Giants an offensive juggernaut yet, though they did put up over 30 points for the first time since Tom Coughlin was coaching. They also amassed 432 yards and averaged eight yards per play against a decent Carolina defense last week. And despite three turnovers and some sloppy play, they were in position to win the game if not for a 63-yard field goal with seconds remaining. Though they have just one victory, the Giants are by no means out of the race in the division and a victory over the Eagles gets them right back in contention.
In order to do that the Giants need to prevent Wentz from going off, and that’s not an easy thing to do. Wentz has put up some good numbers since returning, but the Eagles haven’t been as dynamic and Wentz has been sacked 12 times. He won’t face much pressure from the Giants, who are tied for last in sacks, so look for Wentz to throw at least one touchdown pass on a prop bet at BookMaker.eu.

The Giants will pull out all the stops to generate some offense, putting the relatively low total of 45 in serious jeopardy. No lead is safe in the NFL and bettors can take advantage with the adjusted spreads and total on the live betting feature at BookMaker.eu.
