The Baltimore Ravens are coming on strong, but the New England Patriots are still holding steady to the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Patriots held off the Cowboys last week to improve to 10-1 and now will turn their attention to the Houston Texans. There are big ramifications for New England and the Texans could also really use a victory. They came away with a crucial win last time out against the Colts and could really solidify their spot atop the AFC South with the slight upset of the Patriots.
This NFL regular season game between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans will be held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday, December 1st, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on NBC.

Odds Analysis
New England is listed as a three-point favorite to claim this victory on the road. The majority of the money has rolled in on the Patriots in the earlygoing so it would not be a surprise to see this spread move up before kickoff. The Texans are the +151 underdogs on the moneyline while the Patriots are listed as the -175 favorites.
The scoring total is listed at 45 points. That seems a bit high considering how excellent the Patriots’ defense has been this season, and the “under” may be the more popular pick.
Key Stat
10.6. That’s the number of points allowed by the Patriots this season, which is the best mark in the NFL. New England has long been known for its offense behind star quarterback Tom Brady but these days the defense has been the catalyst behind a great start.
New England is giving up just 279.5 total yards per game. The Patriots are allowing 181.1 passing yards per contest and 98.4 rushing yards. Cornerback Stephon Gilmore is in the running for Defensive Player of the Year, while linebacker Jamie Collins has also been a critical piece.
New England had trouble slowing down the Ravens in a loss a few weeks ago, but otherwise has done fantastic against everybody on their schedule.
Player To Watch
Deshaun Watson -- The reason why the Texans believe they can hang with the Patriots in this one is the presence of their star quarterback. While Watson hasn’t been quite at the level of Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson this season, he has been very good himself.
Watson has mobility which could put the Patriots in a bind if he gets outside of the pocket. He is also a good passer, so if any team has the ability to emulate what Baltimore did, the Texans have a chance. Watson has thrown for 2,899 yards with 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the season.
NFL Pick
Brady has not been his usual dominant self, so the Patriots might not be able to score as much as in the past in this one. Houston may be a slight underdog in this one but the talent level is not too different and the home field advantage will be a big help. If the spread creeps above three points, the Texans would be a great choice, as a loss by a field goal margin would still result in a cover. Keep an eye on the line all week for that. The “under” is also more likely than not in a game that could be a defensive battle.
NFL Pick: New England Patriots 21, Houston Texans 20
