The final Week of preseason beckons, and it is an important one for many clubs. So far, the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Rams are undefeated in exhibition action. While the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Arizona Cardinals are winless.
It is indisputable that the main factor to consider when betting on the NFL using crypto is that most of the teams will be protecting their key players. Another factor to consider is that many of the players who will be in the lineup will be playing for their jobs or looking good on video so that another club can pick them up if they are cut.
NFL Preseason Week 3 Betting Odds
The handicapping trick for the final week of preseason is to assess which teams are motivated, which teams are not, and which teams will play their top players. While getting information on playing time can be difficult, it is not that challenging to gain the goods on which prominent players will sit out. Also, there is basic common sense involved. Most contending teams, such as the Kansas City Chiefs, will be sitting all their key starters to protect them for the regular season.
It is important to remember that the worst teams often perform well in the final week of the preseason, while the best teams do not. Losing franchises often use the preseason as a promotional tool, trying to win and generate a buzz that will translate into ticket and merchandise sales.

Chicago -3.5 vs. Kansas City
Pittsburgh -6.5 vs. Detroit

Some outstanding value opportunities are always on the board in the final weekend of the preseason. One of those values comes in the matchup between the Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City has already announced that quarterback Patrick Mahomes and nearly all its starters will not play. The question for Chicago backers is whether rookie quarterback sensation Caleb Williams will play. Regardless, the Bears will have better players on the field than the Chiefs.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are winless and would like to change that vibe in their final preseason contest against the Detroit Lions. Like the Chiefs, the Lions have no interest in winning this game and will rest almost all of their key starters. The Sharps have jumped all over the Steelers, already moving the line four points from the open.
Parlay Card Underdogs
New York Giants -1.5 vs. New York Jets
New England -5.5 vs. Washington
100 to win $256
There will be some contrived hype for the matchup of the New York Giants and Jets, teams that share MetLife Stadium. But the Jets are more satisfied than the Giants with two preseason wins. The Giants are coming off an embarrassing loss to Houston and will aim to atone for it. Aaron Rodgers has not played for the Jets and is unlikely to be exposed in this one.
Big news is coming out of the nation’s capital, where the Washington Commanders have named Jayden Daniels their starting QB. Daniels, the second overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, has shown so well in the preseason that he gained the Number One position. The new status of Daniels means that he will not play much, if at all, in their exhibition finale against the New England Patriots.
Wise Guys immediately bet the Patriots up a full-field goal after the announcement about Daniels winning the top QB job. The Commanders have been a poor play in preseason so far, with two losses straight up and against the spread.
