Thankfully we have one less preseason week to have to deal with in 2021. Instead, we will get an extra regular-season game to put to good use. NFL Teams will use the final week of preseason action to judge marginal players on the cut bubble. Also, many teams will be giving new rookies enough playing time to assess if they are ready for the regular season. Of course, new quarterbacks are getting the majority of attention. Mac Jones of the New England Patriots, Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears, Trey Lance of the San Francisco 49ers, Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Zach Wilson of the New York Jets are all prepping for potential starting jobs.
