We cashed our five-team money line parlay card last week and we’ll look to keep the good mojo going as we delve into some Week 10 matchups. The Kansas City Chiefs are putting up a good argument for the best team in the NFL and they’ve certainly been good to their backers, going 8-1 SU and ATS this year. They easily handled the Browns last week as one of our parlay card favorites. The Bears proved to be a wise choice as well.
The lines last week were tight and we could have had a number of upset picks with the underdogs winning six games straight up. Two slight dogs helped us cash our parlay card with the Steelers and Texans pulling through. A money line parlay card is both fun to play and rewarding when you win. In order to increase the payout on a winner we need to correctly pick a few dogs. Let’s take a look at some must have favorites on the Week 10 slate along with some possible upsets that will give us a better chance at a winning ticket.
Money Line Parlay Favorites
To improve your odds of cashing a winning money line parlay card it’s always a smart play to pick a few favorites. Going with all favored teams gives you a better a chance to win, however the payout isn’t nearly as hefty as what it would be if there were a few underdogs on the card. To increase the odds of a winning ticket and a better payout, we’re going to look at a five-team money line parlay with three favored teams and two underdogs.
After watching the Raiders get skewered by a rookie making his first NFL start last week, I don’t think I’m ever going to pick Oakland again. Jon Gruden might have a plan in place for the future of the organization, but the present is going to stink more so than it did last week in a 34-3 loss to the 49ers. The Chargers are heavy road favorites for this matchup and with the Raiders going backwards fast, I like the Bolts to come away with a victory as part of my weekly parlay card.
Since the Chiefs have been bank all season, we’ll return to the well again this week. Taking KC while laying 17 points is probably a good bet, taking them straight up is a steal. The Cardinals entered the bye on a winning streak of one game, but both victories have come over the Niners. They have a bunch of holes on offense and simply don’t have the weapons to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and his cache of weapons. The Cards may cover the 17-point opening line, but no way are they going to compete with the Chiefs in Arrowhead.
Looking for another favorite to turn the trick this week on our money line parlay card, we’re leaning on the Rams in their confrontation with Seattle. After hearing Sean McVay’s postgame presser, it was as if the Rams won last week’s tilt against New Orleans. His upbeat, positive attitude is infectious and the Rams seemingly enjoy playing for him. Saying that setbacks are oftentimes used as comebacks, the Rams will return to the win column with a victory over the Seahawks.
Those three favorites come at a steep price on the money line with the Chiefs -2000, the Bolts -500 and the Rams -525. In order to even things out a bit, we need some high-priced dogs to make the wager worthwhile.
Underdog Winners
This is a longshot, but with Josh Allen back practicing and a possibility to play this week, how about the Bills pulling off the upset against the Jets. Buffalo opened at +281 on the money line and it’s not like they’re facing a dynamo in the Jets. New York has struggled almost as much as the Bills on offense and the generosity of Sam Darnold has put the New Yorkers in a steep hole the last few games.
Jacksonville getting points in a game against the Colts would have been unheard of just a few weeks back. But with the Jags spiraling out of control and losing their grip on the AFC South, that’s the case this week. The Jags are coming off their bye and the additional down time has allowed Leonard Fournette to heal his hamstring issue. Getting him back to bolster the offense and take pressure off Blake Bortles will only make the Jags better. And they still have a top-notch defense that hasn’t gotten much help during their losing streak. It’s time the Jags break out, and the Colts are the patsy.
