Week 12 of the NFL regular season gives us the lightest schedule yet with 13 games on tap. The betting week opens with an AFC North tilt between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football and it concludes on Monday night with AFC playoff contenders Baltimore and the LA Chargers. With six teams taking the week off we have fewer betting options to build a winning NFL parlay at the Bitcoin Sportsbook, but that won’t stop us from trying especially after nailing a two-team winner on our NFL favorites last week. Two double-digit favorites emerged on the early betting line with Kansas City a 10.5-point road favorite against Carolina while Washington hit the board laying 10-points for its home game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Betting lines will shift in the NFL and most sportsbooks give bettors the option of accepting line changes in their favor. The spreads and totals we see early in the week are impacted by the number of bets and amount wagered, which typically takes place closer to game time. With that being said there are a few underdogs that stand out to me and they both reside in the NFC West, which has been the most competitive division in the NFL this season.
The Cardinals were playing so well they probably wished they didn’t have a bye in Week 11. They crushed the Jets, 31-6, two weeks ago extending their winning streak to four games and they have five victories in their last six games. Not only has the Arizona offense been clicking behind Kyler Murray, the defense has been like a wall not allowing a touchdown in two straight games and in three of their last four. Murray has been effective thanks to a complementary run game sparked by James Conner, who has rushed for nearly 700 yards and five TDs. Seattle has nosedived after a hot start and the Cards have a great opportunity to snap a five-game losing streak in the series.
Getting Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua back has ignited the offense and the Rams won for the fourth time in five games beating New England, 28-22, on Sunday. Matthew Stafford is more comfortable in the passing game with his top threats throwing four TD passes against the Pats. Not alarming is that Kupp had two and Nacua one with both amassing more than 100 receiving yards. The Rams also have a young defense that’s gotten better and will do enough to keep this game close.

My Week 11 favorites hit when the Eagles covered the 3.5-point line in a 26-18 win over Washington and Minnesota covered the 6-point spread beating Tennessee 23-13. There are several favorites on the Week 12 slate that I like starting with the Thursday night game. Pittsburgh just keeps winning behind one of the nastiest defenses in the league. They shut down the NFL’s highest scoring team in Sunday’s 18-16 win keeping the Ravens out of the end zone until the last minute. Still, they had to stop the game-tying 2-point conversion to seal the win.
With the No. 2 scoring defense in the NFL, the Steelers have contained far better offenses than what the Browns have. I have no idea where the points will come from on the Cleveland side, though Jameis Winston has done a nice job since taking over. But nice won’t get it done and I can see Pittsburgh covering.
It’s hard to argue against the Detroit Lions being the best team in the NFL. They’ve won eight games in a row doing so in a variety ways. They had a gritty win at Minnesota coming back late for a 2-point triumph. They also won in the hostile confines of Lambeau Field. Two weeks ago they overcame a five-interception game from Jared Goff and beat a good Houston club. They also scored 52 points twice in the last four games, hammering Jacksonville last week and Tennessee earlier. I’ll lay the 7-points and back the red-hot Lions on the road.
