After a smorgasbord of football over the Thanksgiving Holiday we have a more subdued time with only 13 games on the Week 14 NFL schedule. The final round of byes takes place this week with six teams taking time off, including a few that have been money against the spread at a Bitcoin Sportsbook. It’ll make building a winning NFL parlay harder with the Denver Broncos inactive. With nine payouts in 12 games they are one of the most profitable clubs heading into their Week 13 Monday Night Football game with Cleveland. The betting week starts with a crucial NFC North tilt pitting Green Bay against Detroit. The Lions outlasted Chicago on Thanksgiving for their 10th straight win and they are 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six meetings with the Packers. Though both teams will likely miss the postseason there should be fireworks in the Monday night clash between Dallas and Cincinnati.

With Week 13 games on my NFL parlay not yet completed at the time of this writing, I’ll go back to Week 12. On second thought maybe I won’t since it wasn’t a good week. After hitting two two-team parlays in Week 11, the football Gods got their revenge. I whiffed on both underdog picks with Arizona and the Rams failing to stay within the closing line in their respective games. So it’s back to the drawing board to see if I can author another winning ticket.
The Panthers have played a heckuva lot better in recent weeks winning two of three ahead of their Week 13 matchup with Tampa Bay. They edged New Orleans, 23-22, in Week 9 and followed that with a 20-17 overtime win over the Giants. What struck me, though, was how well they played against the champion Chiefs in Week 12. They rallied from a 20-6 deficit to tie the game late only to witness KC kick a walk-off field goal. They registered five sacks against Patrick Mahomes and held the Chiefs to 2 of 5 inside the red zone. Carolina covered the 11-point line for their third straight payout.
Speaking of the Chiefs, their failure to put teams away has me leaning toward the Chargers and the points in this AFC West confrontation. They haven’t been convincing, but a win is a win, I suppose. A double-digit favorite in each of their last two games, the Chiefs beat Las Vegas and Carolina by a total of five points. They’re also 0-5 ATS in their last five games. The old AFL rivals have played close games recently with seven of the past nine meetings decided by a touchdown or less. And the Bolts have won five of their last six games to solidify a playoff spot going 5-1 ATS in that stretch.

Titans -2.5 vs. Jaguars
Bengals -6 at Cowboys
My ticket of all losing picks was ruined by the Lions in Week 12 with their 24-6 win over Indianapolis. I backed Detroit -7 and was hopeful the Steelers would save the day. Well, they didn’t losing outright to Cleveland, 24-19, dealing me a pair of losing NFL parlays. I wanted to back the Lions again in their TNF matchup with Green Bay, but I caught a few better options instead.
The Jags and Titans both suck, but I think at this point the Jags are worse off. There’s a good chance Trevor Lawrence doesn’t play after a vicious hit in last week’s game with Houston and backup Mac Jones hasn’t been the answer. I have to think the Titans are due for a payout after going just 2-10 ATS to this point. And Tennessee is 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five home games against Jacksonville.
Lastly, the Bengals aren’t winning many games but it isn’t because of Joe Burrow. In his last three starts Burrow is averaging 364.3 passing yards with 10 TDs and the Bengals are averaging 33 points in that span. The Cowboys have issues stopping teams and they don’t have enough on offense to keep up making Cincy a good wager on the NFL parlay.
