Several key matchups highlight the Week 16 NFL schedule as we get closer to the end of the regular season. And with the college football season done we get a few Saturday matchups to whet our appetite. The betting week opens on Thursday night with an AFC West contest between playoff teams Denver and the Chargers. There are two massive AFC games on Saturday with a battle of division leaders when the Houston Texans visit Kansas City. First place in the AFC North is at stake when the Baltimore Ravens host Pittsburgh. Despite looking up to the Steelers in the standings the Ravens opened as a 5.5-point home favorite at the Bitcoin Sportsbook.

NFL Week 16 Parlay Card Underdogs
Steelers +5 at Ravens
Saints +12.5 at Packers
Week 14 was a good one as I hit my two-team NFL underdog parlay. The Chargers and Panthers both lost but they stayed within the spread. Expecting a close game I backed the Bolts in their matchup with Kansas City. The Chiefs came up big at the end with a walk-off field goal for the 19-17 win. Carolina played a spirited game as a 13-point dog falling 22-16 on the road to Philadelphia. I also hit my first Week 15 wager when the Rams beat San Francisco outright as a 2.5-point road dog.
I’ll look to continue the mini heater with another two-team parlay card of favored teams. The Steelers have created all sorts of problems for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in recent meetings. Pittsburgh won the earlier matchup 18-16 for their fourth straight win in the series and their eighth win in the last nine meetings. Neither team has scored more than 20 points in any of the last eight games making a wager UNDER the total a good bet as well.
With only a glimmer of hope to reach the playoffs entering their Week 15 game with Washington, the Saints had their chance extinguished in a 20-19 loss. They did show some fight behind Spencer Rattler rallying for a chance to win on the final possession after trailing 20-7 early in the fourth quarter. The Saints scored a TD with no time remaining to pull within a point and they were stopped on the potential game-winning 2-point conversion. They’ve played much better football since Darren Rizzi became interim coach and getting 12.5-points is a bonus.
NFL Week 16 Parlay Card Favorites
Chargers -3 vs. Broncos
Bengals -6 vs. Browns
Cardinals -4.5 at Panthers
I wasn’t as successful on parlay card of NFL favorites splitting two games in Week 14. The Bengals came through for me with the 27-20 win on Monday Night Football laying 6-points to the Cowboys. However, I backed the Titans -2.5 and they lost outright to the Jags 10-6. The Bengals did me a solid in Week 15 beating the Titans by 10 as a 3.5-point favorite. But Washington failed to cover the 3.5-points in a 20-19 win over the Saints.
With two straight payouts I’ll go back to the Bengals in their game with in-state and AFC North rival Cleveland. They aren’t out of the playoff picture but the Bengals are on life support. Joe Burrow is doing everything in his power to keep the hope alive with another big game against the Titans. Burrow had three more touchdown passes as the Cincy offense kept rolling. They also beat the Browns earlier this season, 21-14, earning a payout as a 5.5-point favorite.
The Chargers and Broncos entered their Week 15 games with the same record but it sure didn’t seem equal. Only one of Denver’s wins was against a team with a winning record and they struggled offensively against the better teams. The Bolts certainly are a better team boasting the No. 1 scoring defense. LA shutout Denver for three quarters in the first meeting between the clubs earning the cash in a 23-16 cover victory. The Bolts have payouts in six of their last seven games and should cover at home.
Just a few weeks ago the Cardinals were leading the NFC West and functioning on all cylinders. They proceeded to lose three straight. Teams have a way of getting well against the Panthers, just ask the Cowboys, who won 30-14 on Sunday. Now it’s Arizona’s turn.
