NFL Week 3 Parlay Picks

With the help of two underdogs winning outright I hit my three-team NFL parlay and correctly hit all five wagers. It was a good week for me and for teams catching points with eight dogs winning their games outright and another two covering the closing line. Also, 10 of the 16 games played below the closing total with one push. The betting markets will eventually even out as we learn more about the teams and Week 3 is right around the time that starts to happen. Injuries throw a wrench in the plans and we’re uncertain how the Miami Dolphins will respond after losing Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion in last week’s 31-10 loss to Buffalo.

Skylar Thompson is expected to make his third career start in the Week 3 game at Seattle with Miami catching 5-points on the opening line at my Crypto sportsbook. I backed the Bills and Atlanta on my three-team underdog NFL parlay with each winning outright and got a payout when the Bears stayed within the 7-point line in their 19-13 loss to Houston. I also hit my two-team favorite NFL parlay with Washington covering the 2.5-points in their 21-18 win over the Giants and the Jets beating Tennessee by a touchdown as a 4-point favorite.

Parlay Card Underdogs

LA Chargers +2 at Steelers

New England Patriots +6.5 at Jets

Chicago Bears +2 at Colts

I’ll look to continue my early season NFL parlay heater with another three-team wager on teams getting points. The Jim Harbaugh influence can’t be overlooked and he has the Chargers off to a 2-0 start after they demolished Carolina on Sunday. Harbaugh’s a winner at every stop of his career and the re imagined roster has paid off. The club jettisoned some talent, but when you don’t win you have to make changes. While Justin Herbert has been solid the real difference is on defense with the Bolts allowing just 13 points through two games. The Steelers have used strong play from its defense to win twice, but they aren’t scaring anyone with an inept offense. I’ll back the Bolts and the points.

New England has been a surprise beating Cincinnati and losing to Seattle in overtime. The Jets have high expectations with Aaron Rodgers at the helm and the veteran former MVP helped pull out a victory in Tennessee on Sunday. But, the Pats play hard and this divisional matchup becomes more important with Miami’s future cloudy following the loss of Tagovailoa. I don’t see a lot of points being scored in this matchup making the 6.5-points the Pats are getting sound even better.

It hasn’t been the start Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears were looking for, but splitting their first two games with little help from the No. 1 overall pick and the offense is something. There’s plenty of talent on that side of the football and Williams is a legit player. There are some growing pains that come with being thrust into the spotlight, but as the game slows down for him, Williams will shine. And this is a good game for him to do that. Keeping the QB upright is a key – he was sacked seven times in the loss to Houston – but the offense will make the appropriate changes allowing the Bears to take advantage of the NFL betting line.

Parlay Card Favorites

Las Vegas Raiders -5.5 vs. Panthers

Buffalo Bills -5 vs. Jaguars

The Raiders are in a good spot now all they have to do is take advantage of it. They had an improbable second half rally on Sunday to stun Baltimore and now return to Vegas for a meeting with Carolina, the worst team in the NFL. There is some concern with the Panthers benching former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young after another horrendous outing in favor of veteran Andy Dalton. But Carolina’s issues run much deeper. I’m going to back the Raiders minus the points hoping they use the momentum of their comeback win over the Ravens.

The door to another AFC East title sprung wide open for the Bills following their trouncing of Miami in Week 2 and the Fins loss of Tagovailoa. Josh Allen has started looking like a threat to win MVP tossing three TD passes and zero interceptions while adding a pair of rushing touchdowns. And the Bills stepped up defensively holding Miami to 10 points and 1 of 4 inside the red zone while forcing three turnovers. Allen and James Cook have been lethal early in the season and will be too much for the Jags contain.
