NFL Week 7 Teaser Picks - Football Betting

We thought the Giants were ready to make a move after their near miss against Carolina. But we were proven wrong last week and our four-team teaser was a loser before the weekend even got here. We did learn one thing and that’s not to bet on the G-Men, who couldn’t cover against the Eagles even with the line teased in their favor. The wonderful thing about teasers is they allow us to move the spread or total by as much as six points in our favor with a minimum of two wagers. Most sportsbooks, including BookMaker.eu, allow players to increase their points for a price and more wagers are accepted, which would allow for a higher payout on a winning ticket. Let’s take a look at a winning Week 7 four-team teaser bet.

Denver Broncos at Arizona Cardinals

Opening Line: Cardinals +2.5

Teaser Line: Cardinals +8.5

The tease on this line is significant for a number of reasons. First, the additional points for the Cards allow us to pass the 3- and 7-point lines that are most common in the NFL. And it gives Arizona a pretty hefty cushion for a home game. Arizona has struggled this season, but all their failures have come on the offensive side of the football. The Cards are last in a number of categories, including rushing yards and total yards per game, third-down conversions and time of possession. They are next to last in pass offense and points per game. In other words, they stink.

But the Broncos have made opposing backs look like Jim Brown over the past two weeks and that once proud defense might be just what the Cards need to break out of their slumber. It would be one thing if the Cards had a bunch of stiffs on offense, but they don’t. David Johnson is looking to break out and they’ve been better since Josh Rosen took over. The O needs to help the defense, which has been stellar. If it does, the Cards have a chance at winning this game outright.

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

Opening Line: Cowboys +2

Teaser Line: Cowboys +8

The NFC East is a mess, but it’s an exciting mess with three teams having three wins through the first six weeks of the season. And with the teams tightly bunched together, there is added meaning to games within the division. Just when we were about to count the Cowboys out of the mix, they came up with a stunner last week, dropping 40 on the Jags in a display of offense that came out of nowhere. It also got Jason Garrett off the hot seat for a week.

The Boys used all their weapons to manhandle the Jags. Ezekiel Elliott ran for over 100 yards, Dak Prescott was efficient throwing the football and their underrated defense threw a blanket over Blake Bortles. Washington has been solid defensively as well, but the offense has some major concerns. Adrian Peterson, picked off the scrap heap at the start of the season is the team’s best weapon and Alex Smith looks like he doesn’t belong. Top it off with the Cowboys winning the last four meetings and I like my chances with the Boys and 8-points.

New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens

Opening Total: 49.5

Teaser Total: 55.5

Baltimore is coming off a complete undressing of the Titans last week, pitching a shutout while amassing a team record 11 sacks. And it’s not like this is anything new for the Ravens. They lead the league in total defense and scoring defense, rank second pass defense and third in rush defense. It’s a solid, all-around group that has yet to allow a touchdown after halftime in any game this season.

I don’t like betting the under in a Saints game because of their prolific offense and all the weapons Drew Brees has to work with. But New Orleans isn’t the same away from the Superdome. Sure, they hung 43 on the Falcons to cash the over in Week 3, but Atlanta has more problems on defense than anyone. And that outcome was the exception not the norm. In their last 15 road games with a total of at least 50 points, the under is 10-5. So I’m taking the under on my teaser card.

Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Chargers

Opening Line: Chargers -6.5

Teaser Line: Chargers -0.5

Teasing this line down to a pick ‘em was a no-brainer. The Chargers looked like the AFC contender many expected them to be with a scintillating performance against the Browns last week. They ran the football, Philip Rivers was throwing darts when he had to and the defense got after Baker Mayfield and silenced Cleveland’s offense. They do have to travel across the pond for this Week 7 tilt, but the Titans are in the midst of a massive slump.

Three weeks ago the Titans upset Philly and were 3-1. A loss to Buffalo was painful but the hurt put on them by Baltimore last week was embarrassing. Marcus Mariota was sacked 11 times and the Titans were blanked 21-0. I can’t see Tennessee doing enough offensively to win this game, making the Bolts a solid pick on the teaser card.
