The Texans have no idea if quarterback Deshaun Watson will be under center this season, as Watson wants to be traded and he is also facing legal issues. Tyrod Taylor is a capable quarterback, but he can’t win games on his own and Houston has very little talent around him. The Texans also have a defense that gave up 29 points per game last season. There is very little to like about the Texans this season and they deserve to be the favorite to finish with the worst record in 2021.

I don’t see any value in betting the Lions at their current number. The Lions have 33 losses since 2018, but I think the hate on Detroit has gone too far. The Lions have a new quarterback in Jared Goff and he has something to prove. The Lions also have a new head coach in Dan Campbell. Perhaps the Lions will struggle all season, as they had the worst defense in the league a year ago, but I can’t bet on them at odds of 3-1.

The Jets have a new quarterback in Zach Wilson, but New York was just 2-14 a year ago and allowed over 28 points per game. The Jets should be better in 2021 and they shouldn’t finish with the worst record in the league. I need more value to take the Jets to finish with the worst record.

It is obvious to everyone yet that Jon Gruden is in over his head? The Raiders lost a lot on the offensive line in the offseason. I can see the Raiders struggling on offense more than they have recently and the defense is nothing special. The Raiders play in a tough division with the Chiefs and Chargers and let’s say the Raiders start slowly this season. Will they just roll over, fire Gruden and start to rebuild? The Raiders are likely looking at a 1-3 start, as they face the Ravens, Steelers, Dolphins and Chargers. The Raiders could have some value at these odds to finish with the worst record.
New Orleans Saints +6600
I know that the Saints have been a winning team for many years, so this is truly a longshot, but there are some definite concerns in New Orleans. They don’t have a quarterback you can trust, as neither Winston nor Hill inspire a lot of confidence. The team has no receivers of note other than Michael Thomas who wants to be traded and the defense looks nothing like it did a year ago.
