After watching the Saints lose in Dallas last Thursday, the Los Angeles Rams regained the top spot on the Super Bowl LIII updated odds list at BookMaker.eu. The same four teams have camped out at the top of the list all season, though they swapped spots this week with the Chiefs and Patriots also changing their ranking. Kansas City took a body blow with the release of leading rusher Kareem Hunt and the Chiefs responded by beating Oakland, but it was closer than most expected. That may have swayed the oddsmakers to move them into the No. 4 spot.
It’s time to take Houston seriously after it stretched the longest winning streak in the league to nine games by defeating the Browns last week. After winning the first three in that run that brought the Texans back to .500, we could have bought them at +4350 odds. Now they are the sixth favorite at +1485. We also had several teams improve their odds with big wins in Week 13. The Chargers leaped past Pittsburgh after defeating the Steelers on Sunday night. Dallas, Seattle, Baltimore and Denver also were big movers. Oakland and San Francisco were officially eliminated from the playoff race last week with more to follow.
Here’s a look at the current Super Bowl LIII odds at BookMaker.eu after Week 13 of the 2018 NFL regular season.

It was a done deal from early on that the Oakland Raiders weren’t going to be in contention. That was made clear when Jon Gruden traded away Khalil Mack before the season even started, so it was just a formality that Oakland’s loss on Sunday put the asterisk next to the team name in the standings, signifying the Raiders as eliminated.
Professional football in the Bay Area has been bad for the past few years, so not to outdo each other, the Niners joined their neighbors as the first to be “officially” eliminated. Many pegged the Niners as a sleeper pick and their win total was projected at 8 before the season. That was also before the team was besieged with injuries. The most notable was to Jimmy Garoppolo, who took any hope of a successful season with him in Week 3 when he tore up his knee.
While they are still mathematically alive, the Cardinals, Bills, Lions and Jets are all off the board with the Giants, Redskins, Falcons, Browns, Bengals and Jaguars still listed at extremely long odds. Washington is the most interesting team on the list of longshots. The Skins are 6-6 and a game out of first place in the NFC East, but they lost their backup-turned-starter Colt McCoy to a broken leg last week, leaving the quarterbacking chores in the hands of Mark Sanchez.
Denver was a big mover this week following their third straight win to reach the .500 mark. And the Broncos have a favorable schedule ahead with games against the Niners, Browns and Raiders before closing out against the Bolts. Vance Joseph was nearly fired when they were 3-6, now he’s looking like coach of the year material. The Ravens have jumped on Lamar Jackson’s back, riding the rookie to pair of wins in relief of Joe Flacco to close the gap on Pittsburgh in the AFC North while seeing their odds improve.
Dallas made a big jump in the NFC with their impressive win over the Saints to seize control of the East. Don’t count the defending champs out just yet, however. Philly has won two in a row and visits the Cowboys in a crucial matchup this week. Seattle and Minnesota currently hold the two wild card spots in the NFC and they face each other on Monday Night Football.
