Week 11 Ugly Dog Picks

Week 11 Ugly Dog Picks

If you want to win money betting NFL games then you need to be willing to take teams no one else wants to bet. I refer to these teams as ugly dogs and you really have to hold your nose sometimes when you bet on them, but history has shown that going against the public works. We went 2-1 last week to take the overall record for the season to 22-16-1. We have just three plays to look at for this week. Let’s take a look at the Week 11 Ugly Dog picks.

Week 11 Ugly Dog Picks

Denver Broncos +10.5 at Minnesota Vikings

The Broncos are coming off a win and they had their bye last week, but they are still a team that very few bettors want to back. Denver is giving Brandon Allen a shot at quarterback in place of the injured Joe Flacco, but his time under center might be short because Denver has Drew Lock ready to come off the injured list and the Browns need to see if Lock is going to be their future quarterback. The Vikings are coming off a very good win against Dallas last week and there is definitely a chance they have a letdown at home on Sunday. The question is whether or not it will matter, as the Broncos don’t have the offense to challenge many teams. The public is going to be all over the Vikings and that does help our cause but this one still looks ugly. We’ll take the Broncos as an ugly dog.

Arizona Cardinals +11.5 at San Francisco 49ers

The Cardinals are playing hard and Kyler Murray is growing at quarterback, but Arizona has a weak defense and they are going into face a San Francisco team that is coming off a tough loss against Seattle on Monday. The Cardinals hosted the 49ers earlier this season and Arizona rallied to make the game close after falling behind early. The Cardinals can’t afford to fall behind in this one, as it is on the road and San Francisco will be in a foul mood. The question in this one will be the psyche of the 49ers coming off their first loss of the season. There are also injury concerns for San Francisco, as their two top receiving threats are dealing with injury, as tight end George Kittle missed last week’s game with a leg injury and Emmanuel Sanders left last week’s game with an injury. Arizona looks to be in for a difficult game, but we’ll take the Cardinals as an ugly dog.

Cincinnati Bengals +10 at Oakland Raiders

The Bengals are unquestionably the worst team in the NFL, as they are winless and going nowhere. It was thought that Miami would be the worst team in the NFL this season, but the Dolphins have won two straight games and they are not even in our ugly dog column this week for the first time this season. Unfortunately for us we are stuck with the Bengals, probably for the rest of the season. Cincinnati looks really bad on offense and the defense is getting worn out. The Bengals are trying out Ryan Finley at quarterback and he is simply not the answer. The Bengals now go into the Black Hole to face an Oakland team that suddenly looks pretty good. The one positive for us in this matchup is that the Raiders are now getting to the point where they are considered a good team. Whether they really are good is the true question. Are they good enough to be laying double-digits to anyone? We’ll find out this week, as they are going to be a very popular play among bettors against the Bengals. This one is definitely ugly, but again, that is the point. We’ll take the Bengals plus the points as an ugly dog.
