Don’t look now but Sunday’s contest has plenty of bearing on the NFC East standings. The Giants gained some ground last week and didn’t even play. New York can improve its first place standing with a win and has given the Redskins fits in recent meetings, going 5-0 SU and ATS in the last five confrontations.... 

Tampa Bay won consecutive games for the first time since 2013 and reached the elusive .500 mark behind the stellar play of Jameis Winston, who directed the Bucs to 521 yards of offense in a thrashing of the Eagles last week. Tampa Bay has the same record as Seattle in the NFC and appears to be trending up with six games remaining.... 

Heading into Week 12 of the 2015 NFL season, there was only one time in the Super Bowl era that a team was 10-0 and was an underdog in a game. Now, we're seeing it happen for the second time. The Carolina Panthers have won 14 regular season games in a row, but they've opened as underdogs and could reasonably close that way as well against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.... 

There are few traditions in all of sports like the Detroit Lions kicking off all of the festivities of a great day of NFL football at home on Thanksgiving Day.This year is no exception, though the game could prove to be an awfully interesting one against the Philadelphia Eagles.... 

Maybe it's okay to relax at the Frozen Tundra after all. The Green Bay Packers had lost three games in a row prior to last week, but they did what they had to do in Minneapolis, taking out the Vikings to get back atop the NFC North. If they do what is again expected of them on Thursday against the Chicago Bears, you can bet that once again, Aaron Rodgers and the gang will be looked upon as the most dangerous team in the NFC.... 

It’s not easy to keep the spotlight off Cam Newton and the undefeated Panthers, but if someone is going to steal the illuminating effects it would be Tony Romo. The Cowboys welcomed back their quarterback and put an end to their seven-game losing streak with a win over the Dolphins, and handing Carolina its first loss would make the rest of the NFC East squirm with uneasiness.... 

The Lions got the message after a front office and coaching staff shakeup a few weeks back, putting together consecutive wins behind a strong defensive performance. Given the Lions have little chance of making the postseason, they are playing their way out of a potential top-five draft pick with the struggling Eagles coming to town.... 

The Packers jumped back into a share of the NFC North lead with a thrashing of the Vikings Sunday, putting to rest all the questions about what’s wrong with Green Bay. We know what’s wrong with the Bears – they can’t beat the Packers. Chicago has lost the past four meetings, including the season opener when they failed to cover as six-point dogs.... 

All of the bye weeks are said and done with in the NFL, and every team in the league has six games left to prove that they are amongst the legitimate playoff contenders. Week 12 is the biggest yet, as there are a slew of games which will have playoff ramifications, and the NFL odds are awfully close in the games on the board which opened up on Sunday night.... 

Despite trailing the undefeated Patriots by four games in the AFC East standings, the Buffalo Bills believe they can still make a run at New England with seven remaining.They’ll try to continue that push with their first three-game win streak since 2011 and first above-.500 record after 10 games since 2000.... 

San Francisco’s Blaine Gabbert tries to win a second straight start and help the 49ers send the Seahawks to their first three-game home losing streak in seven years.But the way Seattle has dominated the series recently, that’s not likely to happen. Seattle has won the last three regular season meetings surrendering a total of 13 points.... 

The Jets need a victory to stay in the AFC wild card chase, while the Texans can take control of the AFC South with a victory. Houston knocked the Bengals from the undefeated ranks on Monday night and could be poised to wrestle control over a weak division. They’ll have to do it with backup to the backup quarterback T.J. Yates, who gets the start over concussed Brian Hoyer.... 

It’s been such a disappointing season for both teams that Sunday’s matchup was flexed out of primetime. The Chiefs, however, are making a dash for a playoff spot in the AFC thanks to a three-game winning streak that included last week’s beatdown of Denver that sent Peyton Manning to the bench. After their bye week, the Chargers will look to avoid their first six-game losing streak since 2011.... 

Cincinnati took its first loss of the season, failing to score a touchdown in a 10-6 verdict with Houston on Monday night.A short turnaround has the Bengals facing their former quarterback in a matchup with the Cardinals in what could be a Super Bowl preview.... 

It isn't often that you see a team go on a five-game losing streak and get right back in the thick of the playoff race a month later. The Kansas City Chiefs are right there once again, and if they can beat the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, they'll be back in control of their destiny as a Wild Card team in the AFC and could still be alive in the AFC West chase, too.... 

You might not realize this about the Buffalo Bills, but they're 5-2 in games which Tyrod Taylor quarterbacks this year.They've got a mountain to climb in Week 11, knowing that they have to go up against the perfect New England Patriots, a team which they were already beaten by in Week 2 in Orchard Park.... 

There's panic abound right now in Green Bay and in Denver, where once awesome teams which were playing in a battle of unbeatens less than a month ago are now not even truly certain of playoff spots. Those are just two of the major storylines in Week 11 of the NFL season, one which has provided a slew of odd movement on the betting lines.... 

It’s been nearly 400 days since the Redskins last won a road game and the challenge this week is to beat the team that has the NFL’s longest home winning streak. Including last season’s playoffs, the Panthers have won eight straight at BofA Stadium and they haven’t lost in their last 13 regular season outings. The odds are stacked against the Skins in this one.... 

The Rams are hopeful a quarterback switch can help jumpstart their ineffective offense. Case Keenum gets the nod and can’t do much worse than Nick Foles. Keenum beat the Ravens last season making a start against them as a member of the Houston Texans. Baltimore has dropped its seven games by a total of 32 points and looks to improve on its 1-7-1 ATS record this season.... 

Two teams headed in opposite directions have turned the NFC North standings upside down.The Vikings have won five straight and enter this division showdown with Green Bay one game up on the Packers, who have dropped three straight for the first time since 2008.... 

Tony Romo is back to save the Cowboys season. At least that’s what the Dallas faithful are hoping. After watching his team lose all seven games while he was out with a broken collarbone, Romo will try and get the Cowboys back in the win column and back in contention in the woeful NFC East, where Dallas is just three games behind the division-leading Giants.... 

Surprisingly the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles have the same record at this point in the season.While the Eagles have been a major disappointment so far following a loss to the Dolphins last week as 5.5-point home favorites, they find themselves just a half-game back of the NFC East leading Giants.... 

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will miss his first game since joining the team four years ago. The way he’s been playing, Chicago would rather face him than backup Brock Osweiler. The Bears continued their surprising surge handling the Rams feared defense last week and can make things interesting in the NFC with a win to reach the .500 mark.... 

When Tony Romo got hurt in Week 2 of the season, he left behind the Dallas Cowboys at 2-0. He collarbone is healed once again, and he's ready to play again, but unfortunately for him, his team hasn't picked him up is still stuck with just those same two wins. The Romo factor makes Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins arguably the hardest to handicap on the Week 11 docket.... 

Perception changes a lot of things in the NFL betting world, and the perception of the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears couldn't be much different at the moment. Denver has dropped two in a row, and in that same span, the Bears have gone on the road and picked up two wins as underdogs. Live bettors will have a tough time figuring out what to do this Sunday when these two teams meet in the Midway....
