SOCCER PREMIER LEAGUE ARTICLES

There's no secret to the fact that Tottenham and West Ham flat out don't like each other, and the fact that they're separated by a dozen spots in the EPL table after 11 matches definitely lends itself to the Spurs wanting to pile on. The Hammers need some wins in a hurry, but they're going to have to figure out how to put the ball in the back of the net at some point to do so, something Slaven Bilic is hoping he's figured out how to fix during the international break.... 

Middlesbrough is really fighting as hard as it can to make its stay in the Premier League longer than just one season. Boro has done the job so far and has consistently stayed above the red cut line, but a match here against Chelsea at home could end up being a little more than a newly promoted team can handle.... 

Jose Mourinho already has a lot of pressure on his shoulders at Manchester United, and he's in a position where he could be under a huge gun here against Arsenal, a team that has proven to be a huge thorn both in the side of the Red Devils and for Mourinho over the course of his time in the Premier League.... 

Ronald Koeman made a big move to Everton this offseason, and it's hard to say that the move hasn't paid off. He knew that managing the Toffees was a gamble that could have blown up in his face. As it is, he's had a tremendous start through his first 10 matches, posting 18 points in that span, and one sure way to continue to endear himself to the fans at Goodison Park would be to go on the road and take out Chelsea.... 

There aren't many teams in Europe who have a genuine disdain for each other quite like Arsenal and Tottenham. These two teams really can't stand each other, and for years and years, the Gunners have made a sport out of mocking Tottenham supporters for finishing below them on the table. Now though, with both teams firmly entrenched in the Champions League and legitimately fighting for a Premier League championship, this match is going to be the crowning fixture of the English Premier League week.... 

Manchester City has proven to be human after all. After a stunning start to the season that saw Pep Guardiola and his new club on fire, the Citizens have calmed down just a bit and come back to the pack. They've been run down by Arsenal at the top of the table and merely lead on goal differential at this point, and they'll be hoping to restore some order at the top by taking out Southampton on Saturday.... 

Jurgen Klopp stood in the face of throngs of reporters last week and once again stated that his Liverpool side has the intentions of not just finishing in the Top 4, but winning the English Premier League. Those are big words for a team not playing in any European competition this year, but it's hard to argue with him at this point. The Reds are in solid form and are just off the top of the table, and they should be snaring three more points at home in EPL Match Day 9 against West Brom this Saturday.... 

Manchester United is referred to as the Red Devils, and that only seems fitting on Sunday. Chelsea certainly thinks that Jose Mourinho is one heck of a devil in his own right, and the devil returns to Stamford Bridge for the first time since his dismissal last season from the Blues when two of the top teams in England square off in an important battle in London.... 

Had you told Burnley supporters at their team would be sitting in 14th position on the Barclays Premier League table through seven matches, they probably would have taken it. The results haven't all been good for the Clarets, but the end result for a generally overmatched and overspent team have been alright in their second go around in the top flight. Is a road match against Southampton winnable after two losses on the road to kick things off? Riverside Stadium hasn't hosted a showcase English Premier League match in quite some time. But Middlesbrough is back in the top flight, and it has a shot to shine on Sunday in what could be a big battle down towards the bottom of the table against Watford.... 

It's really hard to find any truly elite matchups in the Premier League in Match Day 8, but the way things are ending on Monday night is going to be a blast. Liverpool and Manchester United have grown more and more hatred for one another over the years, and this Monday night throw down could be a huge six-point swing one way or the other for two legitimate contenders to the Premier League throne in 2016-17.... 

The last place West Ham figured it was going to be dealing with even in the early stages of the 2016-17 season was a fight to stay out of the relegation zone. There's obviously plenty of soccer left to be played, but if the season ended today, the Hammers would be going down. Slaven Bilic needs some wins in the worst way, and in a hurry, and this match on Saturday at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace is a reasonable candidate for three points.... 

It's becoming painfully clear that Leicester City isn't going to have the horses to run with the big boys this season. No, the Foxes aren't going to end up dropping all the way from champs to relegation, but it's probably going to be a mid-table season for them. Last year, a match like this one at Chelsea would have felt winnable. This year, as has been the case in years past, this more or less just feels like a draw-at-best proposition.... 

NBC Sports Network has a whopping triple-header of Premier League soccer for American fans to enjoy this Sunday, the middle game of which is probably the best of the three. Tottenham and Manchester City are both championship contenders this season, and this early-season six-point swinger is a big one for the Spurs in particular as they try to make the most of their home pitch advantage.This Premier League duel will go down Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 9:15 a.m. ET at White Hart Lane. Swansea City is really in a heck of a lot of trouble at this point. The Swans are flirting dangerously close to the relegation zone, albeit early in the season, and they face a really tough test against a hungry Liverpool team in Match Day 7 this coming Saturday to kick off a long day of EPL action on the pitch.At 7:30 a.m. ET, tune into NBC Sports Network for live television coverage of this EPL match on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Liberty Stadium.... 

Without a single win yet this season, Mark Hughes realizes that he really needs to get Stoke City on track in a hurry if he wants to avoid being sacked, especially with so many top flight Premier League caliber managers out there looking for jobs. Burnley was up in the Premier League two seasons ago and was immediately sent back down to the Championship. The team though, sold its best player, Danny Ings for a huge sum to Liverpool, and that money was helped to shore up the side. The end result was an immediate return to the Premier League for this season. Things aren't going well for West Ham United right now. The Hammers are playing in a strange venue this year at London's Olympic Stadium, and the place just hasn't felt like home. It's still early for sure, but the team is in the relegation zone at the moment, a place that Slaven Bilic can't afford to keep his team for much longer if he intends on keeping his job. This match against Southampton is crucial on Sunday, especially knowing that there's a midweek home date with Accrington Stanley on Thursday in the EFL Cup that Bilic has declared a "must-win affair."... 

Manchester United has hit a little bit of a swoon over the course of the last couple games. That said, the Red Devils have got a chance to get back on track at home on Saturday against the team they started off their season with a win against in the Community Shield, the defending Premier League champs from Leicester City.... 

One of the bigger surprises of the 2015-16 season was that Watford was able to stay up in the Premier League for a second season after gaining promotion from Championship. The Hornets though, definitely look the part of a side set to stay up once again as they prepare for their sixth league fixture of the year against one of this year's newcomers, Burnley.... 

A huge Saturday in the Premier League is ahead for soccer betting fans for sure. On a day that Man City and Tottenham are both on the road in dangerous fixtures and Manchester United and Leicester City meet in an early season rematch of the Community Shield, the best match of the bunch is the last one between Arsenal and Chelsea, a fixture that could go a long way towards ultimately determining the Top 4 spots in England this season.... 

Ronald Koeman has only been with Everton for a couple short months, but already, he's positioning himself into being one of the top managers available to move to a big club at the end of this season. The work he's done with the Toffees has been brilliant to date, though it should be noted that it has only been four matches thus far in 2016-17. A win this weekend over Middlesbrough went from a reasonable hope to a tremendous expectation over the course of the last few weeks, and that will end up heaping some pressure on Koeman to again exceed expectations against one of the EPL newcomers this year.This Premier League duel will go down Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. ET at Goodison Park. The first match for Tottenham at Wembley Stadium didn't end up going according to plan, as the Spurs were beaten by Monaco in their group stage Champions League showing. Jose Mourinho has already made it quite clear that he couldn't care less if Manchester United played in the Europa League or not. He's playing with a watered down lineup on Thursday in the secondary European tournament and leaving his best side for his Sunday EPL tie against Watford. No matter how good Manchester United and Manchester City are, their rivalry transcends just about anything else in the Premier League.
