There isn’t much on the line for Juventus headed into what is typically an intense match against one of their biggest Italian rivals, Inter Milan. Juventus have already secured their eighth straight scudetto, but their Champions League dreams were dashed by Ajax, and they will end the season with just one trophy. That’s a disappointing finish considering how much money they spent in the offseason, and that could affect their performance over their last five games.

Odds Analysis
Inter Milan have Champions League riches on their mind. Inter have been in third place for most of the second half of the season, and they are five points ahead of both AC Milan and Atalanta. A win for them this week would be enormous as they still have to travel to Napoli in a few weeks, and they don’t want to have that game decide whether or not they finish in the top four. Inter have won just three of their last six games, but they did grab a huge win over AC Milan a little over a month ago to stay ahead of their city rivals.
Massimiliano Allegri has an interesting next month ahead of him. Juventus have five games left to go in the season, but there is nothing of importance to play for so the question is what to do with your starting eleven. Allegri could stick to his standard starters, or he could start an early youth movement and give some of their young guns real runs, or he could blend the two approaches. Juventus will no longer have to sit a ton of players for the Champions League, so losses like the one to SPAL 2013 last week shouldn’t be the norm unless they go the full youth route.
Mario Mandzukic was the hero of the day when these sides met in Turin in early December. Juventus allowed Inter to put just one shot on net, and Mandzukic’s 66th minute goal was the game’s lone score.
Injury Report
Sime Vrsaljko was declared out for the season in January, and Inter did not receive much out of the Croatian right back on his loan from Atletico Madrid before his injury. Andrea Palazzi is questionable because of a calf injury, while Marcelo Brozovic is questionable with a thigh issue.
Juventus will not have Sami Khedira for the remainder of the season, and Paulo Dybala might not play again this season either. Martin Caceres will miss the match, and four players are questionable. Mandzukic, Matia Perin, Giorgio Chiellini, and Mehdi Benatia are all questionable.
Player to Watch
Mauro Icardi is on his way out at Inter, as the situation between management and the team’s best forward has become incredibly toxic. He was used as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Roma last week, but he should see some more run here. Inter need a win, and they can’t allow Juventus to pick them apart. They need scoring options of their own, and Icardi is the best on the roster.
Serie A Prop Bet – Inter Milan 2, Juventus 1 +698
This isn’t a must-win game for either team, but Inter needs the three points and will be out to get them. They have defended well against some of the better offenses in Serie A, and with Juventus not having so many top options, I don’t see them allowing more than one goal.

I like Inter to pick up the win here to all but assure themselves of a top three finish.
