Juventus are set to make history. The Italian giants are on the verge of winning their eighth straight Serie A title, and they have yet to lose a match this season. They are nine points ahead of Napoli, and the Neapolitans are the one team left that can catch them. Inter Milan are the next closest team and Inter are a full 20 points behind Juventus coming into this weekend’s games. Sassuolo know it will be very difficult to win a point from this match.

Odds Analysis
Sassuolo are currently smack dab in the middle of the table. They are in 11th place with 30 points through 22 matches, but there are just six points separating them from fifth place AC Milan. The Watermelon Rind have been performing well lately. They went on the road to secure draws with both Inter and Genoa, and they hammered hapless Cagliari 3-0 in their last home game two weeks ago.
The 34-time champions have put together another dominant season. Juventus won’t be able to win their fifth-straight Coppa Italia after a stunning loss to Atalanta in the quarterfinals last week, but they are 19-3-0 and on pace to finish as one of the all-time great teams in the history of Serie A. Their last two league matches weren’t too convincing though. They needed two goals in the final 16 minutes to beat Lazio two weeks ago, and they blew a two-goal lead twice against Parma last week.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the man of the match when these sides clashed in mid-September. Ronaldo finally broke through his goalless drought with a brace in leading Juventus to a 2-1 win over Sassuolo. However, Sassuolo will take great pride in their performance. They had more possession and were pretty even on the stat sheet, but a poor clearance and a poor corner kick hurt them.
Injury Report
As many as six Juventus players may be unavailable for this game. Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli have already been ruled out due to injury, and four others are questionable. Leonardo Spinazzola is close to returning from an ankle injury, and Leonardo Bonucci is hoping to return from an ankle injury too. Douglas Costa and Mehdi Benatia are both questionable because of thigh injuries.
Alfred Duncan is going to be suspended for yellow card accumulation on the side of Sassuolo. Francesco Magnanelli is going to miss this match and possibly one more week due to a thigh injury. Stefano Sensi is doubtful with a sprained ankle, while Marlon Santos da Silva Barbosa, Jens Odgaard, and Leonardo Sernicola are all questionable.
Player to Watch
Ronaldo did not get off to a good start this season. It took him 320 minutes to score his first goal in Serie A, but the goals have come pouring in since that point. His 16 goals are the most in Italy, and his touch has Juventus on top of the league once more. However, it’s worth noting that he is shooting far more than anyone else. His 107 shots are 41 more than any other player in Serie A.
Serie A Prop Bet – Under 2 and 2.5 +137
This Juventus team was put together to win the Champions League. With the league firmly in hand, and Champions League play set to start again on Tuesday, I think a change of tactics is coming here. I see Juventus being more reserved than usual and more careful with their veteran starters.

The under is a good play, and I think Sassuolo can pick up a draw too considering Juventus are likely to be looking ahead a bit.
Italian Serie A Odds: Juventus 1, Sassuolo 1
