Frosinone’s time in Serie A may be short lived. The small club in central Italy made an incredible run to make it to Serie A for the first time in its history at the end of last season, but the Canaries are currently 19th in the table. They are just 2-7-12 and with only 13 points through 21 matches, Frosinone are favored to be relegated at the end of the season. The club is out to avoid that fate, and Frosinone are hoping to pull off a big upset this week when they face regional rival Lazio.

Odds Analysis
It hasn’t been a great season for Lazio either. Roma’s rival for the affection of the capital city was hoping to challenge for a spot in the Champions League this season, but they are only eighth in the Serie A table coming into Monday’s match. They are 9-5-7 and sitting on 32 points, so it hasn’t been a bad season, and Lazio are just three points back of AC Milan for fourth. Lazio have lost their last two Serie A matches, but those were to Italian heavyweights Napoli and Juventus, so at least those foes are out of the way.
The loss to Juventus did hurt though. Lazio went ahead 1-0 on an Emre Can own goal in the 59th minute, but Juventus leveled and went ahead in the last 20 minutes to rob the hosts of a result. Lazio registered nearly triple the shots of Juventus and had twice as many shots on goal.
Frosinone have been a difficult club to figure out over the last six weeks. They were hammered 4-0 by Napoli and crushed 5-0 at home by Atalanta, but they somehow found a way to pick up draws on the road against Udinese and at home to AC Milan. Frosinone also picked up a stunning 4-0 win over relegation-threatened Bologna last week, yet that result made some sense. Bologna’s Federico Mattiello picked up a red card in the 13th minute and Frosinone made the most of being up a man.
Injury Report
Lazio will not have Sergej Milinkovic-Savic available for this match after he was suspended due to yellow card accumulation. They are unlikely to have Luiz Felipe or Adam Marusic either, and Bruno Jordao continues to be a question mark. They will be welcoming Francesco Acerbi back into the starting lineup though.
The hosts have an even more precarious injury situation. Francesco Cassata has been suspended for one match due to yellow card accumulation, and Emil Hallfredsson and Federico Dionisi are both unavailable to play due to injury. Raman Chibsah, Edoardo Goldaniga, and Mirko Gori are all listed as doubtful, while Francesco Zampano, Lorenzo Ariaudo, and Nicolo Brighenti are all questionable.
Player to Watch
Ciro Immobile has been one of the best strikers in Serie A this season. Immobile has notched 11 goals in 21 matches at Lazio, and he has been the team’s lone scoring threat for much of the year. He is on a cold spell with just one goal in his last six appearance, and he will look to break into the score sheet here.
Serie A Prop Bet – First Half Lazio -114
It feels like it falls off quick for Frosinone when they fall off. This isn’t a team that loses points at the death, and they have allowed a first half goal in four of their last seven games.
Free Soccer Betting Pick
Immobile will secure a goal here to shake himself out of his recent drought, and Lazio will add a couple more to pick up three points.
Italian Serie A Odds: Lazio 3, Frosinone 1
