2025 College World Series Betting Online
College Baseball doesn’t always get the national spotlight like football and basketball, but the College World Series brings just as much excitement as the College Football Playoff and March Madness. With the game becoming more and more popular over the years and betting markets increasing, the game is at an all-time high in terms of recognition. In a surprise development only two athletic conferences will be represented in Omaha. If you’re a fan of the Southeastern Conference or the Atlantic Coast Conference this tournament is right up your alley. The college baseball season concludes with the College World Series, an eight-team tournament held in Omaha, Nebraska in June to determine the season’s national champion. It is the culmination of a College Baseball Tournament that narrows a field of 64 teams down to eight. The eight teams in Omaha for the CWS play in two brackets of four teams each in a double-elimination format. The two winners then meet in a best-of-three series to determine college baseball’s national champion. The 2025 College World Series will take place from June 13-23 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha and will be televised by ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN+ and ESPNU.

College World Series Format
There have been many changes to the CWS format since it was first played in 1947. Back then the entire tournament baseball tournament consisted of just eight teams The NCAA expanded the tournament to its current 64-team format in 1999 with the number of regionals doubling to 16. Each of those 16 regional tournaments consist of four teams seeded No. 1 through No. 4 in a double elimination format.
The expansion of the field also brought about the Super Regional format. The 16 regional tournament winners are paired off at school sites in a best-of-three format. The eight Super Regional winners then advance to the College World Series in Omaha. The current format of a best-of-three series in the College World Series final was set in 2003.

The best run of dominance in the history of the College World Series clearly belongs to USC. The Trojans won five straight championships from 1970 to 1974, and it's unlikely that feat will ever be duplicated. However, going back-to-back isn't anything unusual.
South Carolina was the last to do it in 2010 and 2011, while Oregon State did it in 2006 and 2007, beating North Carolina both times.
Vanderbilt and Virginia played against each other in the National Championship Series in consecutive years in 2014 and 2015. Both series went the maximum three games. Vandy took the first, while the Hoos exacted revenge the next season.
In 2023 LSU won its seventh national championship breaking a tie for second-most with Texas. It was also their third title this century matching Oregon State for the most since the 2000 season.
