Mac McClung (Orlando Magic): The two-time defending champion is looking for an unprecedented third consecutive title. Known for his electrifying performances in 2023 and 2024, McClung's dynamic athleticism and creativity have made him a standout the last two years.
Matas Buzelis (Chicago Bulls): Standing at 6-foot-10, Buzelis brings a unique combination of size and agility to the Slam Dunk Contest. As the fifth Bulls player to participate in the event, he aims to follow in the footsteps of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
Stephon Castle (San Antonio Spurs): A 6-foot-6 rookie guard from the University of Connecticut, Castle has made a name for himself with his explosive dunks during games. His recent highlight-reel slam over Garrison Matthews got a lot of attention so expectations are high for his contest debut.
Andre Jackson Jr. (Milwaukee Bucks): A 6-foot-6 forward, Jackson is known for his impressive leaping ability and defensive play. His participation marks the continuation of the Bucks' representation in the dunk contest, following Giannis Antetokounmpo and Ray Allen.
Slam Dunk Contest Format
According to the NBA’s website, all four competitors will have two dunk attempts in the first round. The players will have three attempts to make each dunk, and the judges will score their efforts on a scale of 1-10. The two players with the highest scores in the first round will face off head-to-head in the final round. They will have two dunks in the final round to determine a winner. The dunks are scored by the judges and the fans and the player with the highest score will win the title.
