Dern won by unanimous decision against Angela Hill in May of last year, lost by unanimous decision against Amanda Lemos in February, lost by TKO against Jessica Andrade in November of last year, and lost by majority decision against Yan Xiaonan in October of 2022.
Ribas is 13-5 in her career, including 2-3 in her last five fights. She is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Rose Namajunas in March. Ribas won by TKO against Luana Pinheiro in November of last year, won by unanimous decision against Viviane Araújo in March of last year, lost by TKO against Maycee Barber in June of last year, and lost by split decision against Katlyn Chookagian in May of 2022.
Ribas should be listed as the favorite in UFC betting odds to win this fight. Dern and Ribas fought against each other once before with the fight ending in a unanimous decision win for Ribas in October of 2019 and Ribas went off as the favorite in UFC odds in that fight. Neither of these two fighters is known as a great finisher, with most of their finishes coming by submission and they went the distance last time they fought, so this one is likely to go the distance as well.
