Holm is 14-5 in her career, including 3-2 in her last five fights. She is coming off a unanimous decision win against Irene Aldana in October of 2020. Holm won by unanimous decision against Raquel Pennington in January of 2020, won by unanimous decision against Megan Anderson in June of 2018, lost by TKO against Amanda Nunes in July of 2019, and lost by unanimous decision against Cris Cyborg in December of 2017.
Vieira is 12-2 in her career, including 3-2 in her last five fights. She is coming off a unanimous decision win against Miesha Tate in November of last year. Vieira won by unanimous decision against Sijara Eubanks in September of 2020, won by split decision against Cat Zingano in March of 2018, lost by unanimous decision against Yana Kunitskaya in February of last year, and lost by KO against Irene Aldana in December of 2019.
Can you believe that Holm has only fought 19 times in her career? It seems like she has been around forever. She is 40 years old and it was thought a couple of years ago that she was near retirement, but after losing five of seven bouts she came back to beat Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana. Those fights were in 2020 so it has been almost two years since Holm has been in action. For some reason, the UFC still thinks she is a headliner and she gets the top spot on this card against Vieira.
Another big fight has Santiago Ponzinibbio taking on Michel Pereira. Ponzinibbio is 28-5 in his career with 15 wins coming by TKO/KO and six by submission, while Pereira is 27-11 in his career with 10 wins coming by TKO/KO and seven by submission.
Ponzinibbio and Pereira have a combined total of 25 knockout wins and 13 submission wins so this could be a fight that doesn’t go the distance.
Another key fight has Eryk Anders facing Park Jun-yong. Anders is 14-6 in his career with eight wins coming by TKO/KO and one by submission, while Jun-yong is 13-5 in his career with five wins coming by TKO and three by submission.
Anders and Jun-yong have a combined total of 13 knockout wins and four submission wins.
