A welterweight matchup between former UFC fighters Ben Saunders and Ramsey Nijem will headline XMMA2: Saunders vs. Nijem on Friday, July 30 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Saunders has a record of 22-13-2 in his career, while Nijem is 10-8. Saunders has really struggled of late, losing his last four fights, but all of those were in the UFC. Nijem has lost three of his last four fights and two of those losses were in the PFL. A bantamweight matchup between former UFC fighters John Dodson and Cody Gibson is also on the card. Dodson was last seen in the UFC in August of 2020 where he lost a unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili. Gibson struggled in the UFC but he is 4-1 in his last five fights overall. Another fight of note has Kyle Bochniak taking on Marcus Brimage.

Saunders is 22-13-2 in his career, including 1-4 in his last five bouts. He is coming off a knockout loss to Matt Brown in December of 2019. Saunders lost by TKO to Takashi Sato in April of 2019, lost by knockout to Lyman Good in November of 2018, lost by submission to Sergio Moraes in September of 2018 and won by TKO against Jake Ellenberger in June of 2018.
Nijem is 10-8 in his career, including 1-4 in his last five fights. He is coming off a submission loss to Natan Schulte in October of 2019. Nijem won a unanimous decision against Yuki Kawana at PFL 9 in October of 2018. Nijem los to Brian Foster in October of 2018 at PFL 2 in June of 2018, lost to Andrew Holbrook by split decision in UFC action in July of 2015 and lost by TKO to Carlos Diego Ferreira in UFC action in August of 2014.
Another big fight has John Dodson taking on Cody Gibson. Dodson is 21-12 in his career with 10 knockouts and two submissions, while Gibson is 16-7 with six knockouts and three submissions. Dodson lost three of his last four UFC fights and was released but he was 10-6 in the UFC and he was a major challenger to Demetrious Johnson.
Another key fight has Kyle Bochniak taking on Marcus Brimage. Bochniak is 9-5 in his career with two knockouts and two submissions, while Brimage is 7-7 with three knockouts.
