Texas Bowl Lines - Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State Odds
It's been another disappointing season for football in Aggieland, and the program has undergone many changes in the past two weeks. Those changes include former Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mike Elko's return as he replaces Jimbo Fisher as head coach. While other fanbases look forward to hearing their school's name called during the College Football Playoff selection show, Aggies fans are looking forward to their bowl game. A&M became bowl-eligible for the first time since 2021 with their 51-10 win over Mississippi State, just one day before Fisher was fired.

Texas Bowl Prediction
Both teams are looking to take momentum into next season for different reasons, and a bowl matchup of this caliber provides both teams to do so. A&M missed out on a bowl game last season after a 5-7 record and the prior year after qualifying but not having enough players to play due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The Aggies beat North Carolina 41-27 in the Orange Bowl in 2020 and beat Oklahoma State in the Texas Bowl 24-21 in 2019.
In this situation, Oklahoma State brings a more impressive resume.
Texas Bowl Format
The Texas Bowl began in 2006, and the matchup currently features schools from the Big 12 Conference and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The game occurs at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, with a payout of $6.4 million. This game was previously called the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas before receiving sponsorship from AdvoCare V100.

The LSU Tigers were underwhelming in the Texas Bowl. Kansas State, on the other hand, had a landslide victory and a perfect game plan. For LSU, after a disappointing 6-7 record in 2021, the program can now be rolled over to next season. But for Kansas, the Wildcats can pull off a big win to finish the season 8-5.
In 2022, Texas Tech beat Ole Miss 42-25. MVP QB Tyler Shough threw for 242 yards with a TD and rushed for 111 yards and two more TDs.
