UCLA Bruins CFB Week 10 Betting Lines
Another lost season continues for the UCLA Bruins and rookie head coach, former Bruins player, and alum DeShaun Foster. After Chip Kelly saw the future and that it didn’t work, he surrendered his HC position in Westwood to become the Ohio State offensive coordinator. Kelly realized that UCLA was not serious about championship football and decided he’d be happier as a top assistant at a place where winning is the only thing. Foster is well-intentioned but not ready for such a daunting task. UCLA should be ashamed, but they don’t care.

UCLA has a record of 2-5 straight up, 4-3 against the spread, and 2-5 over/under the total. UCLA ranks 125th for total offense, 60th for passing, 134th for rushing, and 127th for scoring. Quarterback Ethan Garbers finally got UCLA's offense in gear, giving the Bruins their first win in the Big Ten. On Saturday, Garbers set career highs with four touchdown passes, 383 yards throwing, and a 49-yard TD run, and UCLA snapped a five-game losing streak with a win over slumping Rutgers.
Garbers completed 32 of 38 passes and connected on scoring passes of 5 yards to Logan Loya, 22 to T.J. Harden, 67 to Keegan Jones, and 9 to New Jersey product Jalen Berger as UCLA handed the Scarlet Knights its third straight loss.
UCLA entered the game as the only team in the FBS to not have scored 20 points in a game this season. That streak was over by halftime, as UCLA took a 21-10 lead. Garbers threw two touchdowns and had his long scramble as Eric Bieniemy's offense finally figured things out for coach DeShaun Foster.
The Bruins, who gained a season-high 478 yards, had not had a six-game losing streak since the end of the 2017 season and the start of 2018.
Defending conference rushing champion Kyle Monangai's third touchdown got Rutgers within 35-32, but Grant Gray recovered the onside kick, and UCLA ran out the clock. Gray actually returned the kick roughly 50 yards for an apparent touchdown, but it was nullified because a teammate signaled for a fair catch.
Rutgers quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis has his best game in weeks, scoring on an early 1-yard sneak while hitting 18 of 30 for 287 yards. Patel finished with two field goals. Monagai had 106 yards rushing on 19 carries and tallied on turns 6, 5, and 1 yard.

Once upon a time, the UCLA Bruins were a national power in college football. This basketball school became known as a perennial Pac-12 title contender and top-10 team. From 1965 through 1998, UCLA finished in the national top 20 a total of 20 times.
And that included ten top-10 finishes. Since then, the going has been much tougher.
UCLA does not emphasize football like other national powers. It considers itself an all-sports school. But Oregon and USC are Pac-12 powers that invest more in football. And the results speak for themselves.
UCLA has 17 conference titles and two division championships. They have one national championship (1954). However, UCLA’s last conference championship was in 1998.
Past UCLA coaching greats include Tommy Prothro, Pepper Rodgers, Dick Vermeil, and Terry Donahue.
College Football Hall of Fame Bruins includes Troy Aikman, Gary Beban, Randy Cross, Tom Fears, Billy Kilmer, and Kohn Sciarra. The late great Jackie Robinson, who broke baseball’s color barrier, was a Bruin safety in 1939-40.
