UCLA Bruins CFB Week 13 Betting Lines
After a slow start, rookie head coach DeShaun Foster and his UCLA Bruins have found some respect. Foster kept his team together during a 5-game losing streak and has impressed fans and gamblers with his leadership during a difficult transition. Last week, UCLA had a difficult road game against the Washington Huskies. The Bruins ran out of steam in a tough and disappointing loss to the Huskies, who clinched a bowl berth for head coach Jedd Fisch. Meanwhile, UCLA must win its final two games to gain eligibility for a bowl game.

UCLA has a record of 4-6 straight up, 6-4 against the spread, and 4-6 over/under the total. UCLA ranks 121st for total offense, 58th for passing, 129th for rushing and 124th for scoring. It was a close contest for most of the game. The Bruins never led but stayed in it until the final quarter. Two late touchdowns from the Huskies put the game out of reach, and the Bruins fell.
Penalties continue to plague this Bruins team, as they totaled nine flags for 47 yards, including multiple false start penalties that affected the Bruins' ability to get in rhythm and maintain healthy drives.
Bruins quarterback Ethan Garbers threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns, playing a fairly solid game. However, he was pressured heavily, being sacked six times, which created heavy pressure and forced him to scramble and rush several throws.
Defensively, the Bruins gave up the most points since their Week 7 win over Rutgers, 35-32. They forced two interceptions and were only able to capitalize with three points on those takeaways.
The Huskies made a change at quarterback midway through the game, bringing in freshman backup quarterback Demond Williams Jr. They saw starter Will Rogers throw two interceptions in the first few drives of the second half, and the Huskies made the change following that.
Williams came in, led a pivotal touchdown drive, and finished 7-9 passing for 67 yards and 31 rush yards on six carries. He made a big difference in the game as the Huskies turned it up in the second half, specifically in the fourth quarter.
The Bruins struggled to run the football, totaling just 52 yards on the ground. This is much different from last week's performance against the Iowa Hawkeyes when they rushed for over 200 yards. Junior back T.J. Harden had just 33 rushing yards.

Once upon a time, the UCLA Bruins were a national power in college football. This basketball school became known as a perennial Pac-12 title contender and top-10 team. From 1965 through 1998, UCLA finished in the national top 20 a total of 20 times.
And that included ten top-10 finishes. Since then, the going has been much tougher.
UCLA does not emphasize football like other national powers. It considers itself an all-sports school. But Oregon and USC are Pac-12 powers that invest more in football. And the results speak for themselves.
UCLA has 17 conference titles and two division championships. They have one national championship (1954). However, UCLA’s last conference championship was in 1998.
Past UCLA coaching greats include Tommy Prothro, Pepper Rodgers, Dick Vermeil, and Terry Donahue.
College Football Hall of Fame Bruins includes Troy Aikman, Gary Beban, Randy Cross, Tom Fears, Billy Kilmer, and Kohn Sciarra. The late great Jackie Robinson, who broke baseball’s color barrier, was a Bruin safety in 1939-40.
