Birmingham Stallions UFL Week 3 Betting
The Houston Roughnecks (0-2, 1-1 ATS) dropped a tightly contested 11-9 decision to the Arlington Renegades at Choctaw Stadium in Week 2, falling to the bottom of the USFL Division standings despite a late push in the final minutes. Houston's offense struggled to find rhythm for most of the game, finishing with just 225 total yards—162 through the air and 63 on the ground. The Roughnecks were held scoreless in the first quarter and entered halftime tied 3-3 after a 41-yard field goal capped a last-minute drive. The Roughnecks easily covered the opening +8.5 and closing 12.5-point UFL spread with the 20 combined points cashing under tickets for the second straight week.
Houston’s biggest defensive moment came in the third quarter when they recovered a fumble following a big hit on Arlington tight end Sal Cannella. However, the offense couldn't capitalize, as quarterback Anthony Brown was intercepted on the very next play by Ajene Harris. The Roughnecks found the end zone late in the fourth quarter following a successful fourth-down conversion but failed to convert the two-point attempt that would have tied the game. They elected to retain possession under the UFL's alternative onside rule but were stopped again, ending their comeback hopes. Despite the loss, the defense held Arlington to just 11 points, and the run D did a much better job holding Arlington to 100 rushing yards and 3.7 yards per carry after getting bludgeoned by St. Louis the week prior.

Birmingham Stallions UFL Week 3 Matchup
On Friday, April 11, 2025, the Birmingham Stallions will take on the Arlington Renegades from Protective Stadium in Birmingham, AL. Kickoff time is set for 8 p.m. ET with television coverage on FOX. The opening UFL Week 3 betting lines hit the board with the Stallions installed 3-point favorites for their home opener with the total lined a week-high 40.5. The Stallions took early support from UFL bettors who pushed the number to beat up to -3.5 with reduced vig attached to their side of the impost. Total bettors appear bearish of this pairing receiving the highest posted total of the week evidenced by the O/U down a full point to 39.5.
Matt Corral put a surge in Birmingham’s passing attack last week throwing for 198 yards and a touchdown, but also threw a pair of interceptions. The running game has also failed to find its bearings in averaging fewer than 98.0 yards per game a year removed from running away with the UFL’s rushing crown.
Birmingham won and covered the closing 3.5-point spread in their visit to Choctaw Stadium last season disposing of the Renegades 27-14. This time around however, Arlington sports – at least on paper – a much improved defense with it allowing 232.5 yards (No. 3) and only 9.0 points per game. That said, it’s run up against two of the worst offenses in the league through two weeks in the Brahmas and Roughnecks. That said, Arlington has backed it up with the league’s second-ranked offense. If they find their rhythm, the Stallions could be at risk of dropping their home opener in front of the Birmingham faithful.
Birmingham Stallions Week 2 Recap
The Birmingham Stallions (1-1, 1-1 ATS) bounced back from their Week 1 loss at DC with a gritty 21-12 road win and UFL spread cover against the Michigan Panthers at Ford Field, despite losing starting quarterback Alex McGough to injury on the first play of the game. Backup Matt Corral stepped in and delivered a solid performance, completing 18-of-29 passes for 198 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. His highlight came early in the fourth quarter with a 52-yard touchdown strike to Deon Cain, who finished with 84 receiving yards on four catches.
Birmingham built a 6-0 halftime lead on a pair of Harrison Mevis field goals, then extended it to 18-0 by the end of the third quarter thanks to a one-yard touchdown run by Ricky Person Jr. and Corral’s deep connection to Cain. Person Jr. led the Stallions’ ground game with 53 yards on 17 carries. The Stallions’ defense made several key stops, including a crucial fourth-and-goal stuff at the one-yard line in the third quarter. After a Michigan comeback attempt cut the lead to 18-9, Birmingham capitalized on a muffed punt and added a late field goal to seal the win. The victory evens the Stallions’ record for the year, both SU and ATS, and reestablishes their footing in the USFL Division. The under has paid out twice with only 31.0 combined points scored on average through two games.
