San Antonio Brahmas UFL Week 3 Betting
The San Antonio Brahmas have looked nothing like the team that won seven games and represented the XFL Division in the title game over the first two weeks of the UFL betting season. Wade Phillips’ squad has been pummeled by the aggregate score of 59-18 and came nowhere close to covering the UFL spread in either matchup against the Arlington Renegades or St. Louis BattleHawks. Making matters even worse, their next two games remain away from the Alamodome against two of the better teams in both the USFL and XFL Divisions.
First up is a date with the Michigan Panthers—a team it got the best of a season ago back in its home digs. Linemakers don’t expect a repeat of the franchise’s first-ever meeting with the Brahmas installed the second-largest underdog of the Week 3 UFL betting slate. In getting outscored by 41 points through the first two weeks, San Antonio has seen its odds of winning the UFL Championship swell to 20-1 at the crypto sportsbook after initially hitting the board 6/1. If noticeable improvement isn’t made on both sides of the ball this week, UFL futures bettors can expect to see that rate of return get even longer.

San Antonio Brahmas UFL Week 3 Matchup
On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the San Antonio Brahmas will take on the Michigan Panthers from Ford Field in Detroit, MI. Kickoff time is set for 12 p.m. ET with television coverage on ABC. The opening UFL Week 3 betting lines hit the board with the Brahmas installed 4.5-point underdogs and the total lined 36.5—the second-lowest of the UFL betting slate. Neither the side nor total has moved an inch since both imposts were made available to the betting public. Surprisingly however, San Antonio did get some nibbles on the money line with the payout down to +160 from the +180 opener.
It’s an interesting line move given how poorly the Brahmas defense has performed through the first two weeks. The unit was the backbone of San Antonio’s playoff run last season, allowing a league-best 257.4 yards and 15.3 points per game. This year, those numbers have ballooned to 333.0 yards (#7) and 29.5 points (#8) per game. The run defense has been especially vulnerable, giving up 173.5 yards per game (#7) and 4.96 yards per carry (#6).
While Michigan has been average on the ground (#5), the Panthers have a clear edge at quarterback with E.J. Perry nearly leading the team to an outright win at DC last week. To say Kellen Mond has struggled would be putting it nicely. He’s posted a 58.7 QB rating while completing just 51.7% of his passes for 288 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. The Brahmas have converted a league-low 29.2% of their third down tries, and only 42.9% of their seven fourth down attempts. If his poor play continues, it may be time for San Antonio to see what Jarrett Guarantano or Kevin Hogan can bring to the table in hopes of injecting some much-needed life into the offense.
San Antonio Brahmas Week 2 Recap
The San Antonio Brahmas (0-2, 0-2 ATS) struggled to find momentum in a 26-9 road loss to the St. Louis BattleHawks at The Dome at America’s Center, where they were outplayed in nearly every phase of the game in front of 32,115 fans. San Antonio was outgained 192-135 in the first half and entered halftime trailing 17-3 after a late Donald De La Haye field goal. Offensively, the Brahmas were unable to establish a rhythm. They failed to find the end zone until the fourth quarter and couldn’t keep pace with St. Louis' balanced attack. Quarterback Kellen Mond and the offense were stymied by the BattleHawks’ aggressive front, which recorded four sacks on the day. The offensive line struggled to contain pressure, limiting San Antonio’s ability to sustain drives throughout.
Defensively, the Brahmas had no answer for St. Louis running back Jacob Saylors, who tied a UFL record with three rushing touchdowns. His scores came on runs of 20, 1, and 5 yards, helping St. Louis build a 23-3 lead midway through the third quarter. With the loss, the Brahmas fell to 0-2 on the season and will need to regroup quickly on both sides of the ball as they continue to search for their first win of 2025. Neither defeat was covered against the closing UFL odds by the reigning XFL Division champs, with the O/U 1-1 and 38.5 points scored on average.
