Despite their 1-0 start after defeating the Roughnecks last week, Memphis was considered an underdog to the undefeated Brahmas, who entered the game ranked number two in the league. But someone forgot to deliver the memo to Head Coach John DeFilippo, whose team came out ready to rumble.
The Showboats picked up where they left off last week, with quarterback Case Cookus leading the offense with poise and confidence. Although the “Chef’s” performance lacked the chemistry and synchronicity he displayed last week with his receivers, Cookus carefully controlled the time of possession with several extended drives. Once again, he demonstrated his superior ability to run the football and was the team’s leading rusher with 58 yards on nine attempts compared to RB Darius Victor’s 56 yards on 17 attempts.
The Birmingham Stallions secured a 20-13 victory over the Michigan Panthers in a UFL game. The Stallions relied on a strong defensive performance and the leg of kicker Chris Blewitt, who connected on four field goals, to earn the win.
The Stallions offense was led by quarterback Adrian Martinez, who completed 8 of 15 passes for 88 yards. Martinez also contributed on the ground, rushing for 65 yards on eight carries. Running back Ricky Person Jr. found the end zone once and added 14 rushing yards on seven attempts.

The Defenders' offense was led by quarterback Jordan Ta’amu, who completed 16 of 32 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns despite throwing one interception. The running game was split between Darius Haggans and Cam’Ron Harris, with Haggans scoring the lone rushing touchdown.
The Roughnecks offense was paced by quarterback Reid Sinnett, who went 19 for 30 with 221 yards and one touchdown. Running back T.J. Pledger IV led the team in rushing with 11 attempts for 47 yards. Wide receiver Kirk Merrit was the top target, hauling in 5 catches for 79 yards.
