United Football League Week 3 Betting Lines
Week 3 UFL betting action kicks off Friday night from Protective Stadium where the defending champion Birmingham Stallions will host the Arlington Renegades for the team’s lone cross-divisional skirmish of the regular season. The weekly slate picks back up Saturday afternoon in Memphis where the Showboats will attempt to secure a divisional win against a Roughnecks squad it swept in last year’s pair of meetings. A pair of heavyweight matchups are lined up for Sunday’s doubleheader on ABC starting off in ford Field where the Michigan Panthers will look to hold serve against the upset-minded San Antonio Brahmas. Closing the slate out in the late afternoon will be the first of two meetings between the D.C. Defenders and St. Louis BattleHawks who’ve formed quite the rivalry with one another since the spring football league made its return a few years back. The Arlington Renegades and Birmingham Stallions kick off Week 3 UFL betting action Friday night on FOX at 8 p.m. ET. The defending champs kicked off their championship campaign of a year ago taking care of business of Luis Perez and co. at Choctaw Stadium in their season opener. They did so by securing the impressive 27-14 win as 3.5-point road favorites with the 41 combined points just falling under the closing 41.5-point total.
UFL betting ramps back up Saturday afternoon on ESPN with the first of two USFL Division clashes between the Houston Roughnecks and Memphis Showboats from Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. John DeFilippo and the Showboats got the best of their division rivals sweeping the Roughnecks in a pair of low scorers a season ago. Memphis tallied the 18-12 win in a pick ‘em Week 1 match, and followed it up with a similar 19-12 outright win at home in Week 10 as short 1.5-point underdogs. The under paid out in both matchups never threatening the 42.5-point total average.
Sunday’s doubleheader on ABC kicks off in Ford Field where the Michigan Panthers will attempt to avenge last year’s Week 4 loss in the Alamodome to the San Antonio Brahmas. The hosts held a 13 point lead at the half before going on to win by a 19-9 final count to easily cover as 1-point home favorites. The 28 combined points never seriously threatened the closing 41-point Over/Under regardless of 19 points hitting the board by halftime.
For the second time in as many weeks, the weekly slate will close out in St. Louis when the BattleHawks square off against the D.C. Defenders in the first of two scheduled regular season confrontations. St. Louis swept the rivalry last year and made a mockery of the first showdown after skunking Reggie Barlow’s squad 45-12 as 3.5-point road favorites in the Week 5 showdown at Audi Field. Though Jordan Ta’amu and his mates put up a better fight in the second go round, the Week 8 matchup in the Dome at America’s Center ended with a similar result. The BattleHawks came out on the right side of the 26-21 final, but failed to cover the closing 7.5-point UFL odds. The over paid out in both matchups with 52 points scored on average.
