2024 Presidents Cup PGA Betting
The Presidents Cup normally takes place every other year, as the United States plays an International team minus Europe. The Presidents Cup has been held since 1994 with the United States dominating the action, winning 12 times, losing just once, with one tie. The event was held in even-numbered years until 2001 when the schedule was changed because of the September 11 attacks. It was held in odd-numbered years until it was changed back to even-numbered years following the COVID pandemic in 2020. The event is hosted alternately by the United States and countries from the International team. The 2024 Presidents Cup will take place at Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from September 26-29, 2024. The top six U.S. PGA Tour players who have the most FedEx Cup points qualify for the team along with six Captain’s selections, while the top six International players from the Official World Golf Rankings qualify along with six Captain’s selections.
Catch all of the action at the Presidents Cup from Thursday, September 26 through Sunday, September 29.

Royal Montreal Golf Club is the oldest golf club in North America, and will be hosting the Presidents Cup for the second time, as the course hosted it in 2007 when the U.S. team led by captain Jack Nicklaus defeated the International team led by Gary Player.
The PGA Tour has said that LIV players will not be eligible for the Presidents Cup. Both teams will be missing players, but the International team is probably hurt more because Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann will not be able to play. The International team is captained by Mike Weir and is expected to be led by Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, Tom Kim, Jason Day, Byeong Hun An and Adam Scott. The other six players will be announced in early September.
The 2024 United States team is captained by Jim Furyk and will include Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Sahith Theegala and Patrick Cantlay. The six captain’s picks will be announced in early September.
The Presidents Cup is a match play event, which is similar in many respects to the Ryder Cup. There are 12 players per side and players compete in both alternate shot and best ball formats, also known as foursome and fourball. Each match is worth one point with a half point awarded for a tie. There are a total of 9 foursome doubles matches, 9 fourball doubles matches and 12 singles matches. A total of 30 points are up for grabs with the 15.5 points getting a team the win.
