2020 Workday Charity Open Betting Odds
Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio will host two straight events on the PGA Tour in 2020. The Workday Charity Open will take the place of the cancelled John Deere Classic in 2020 and will be held from July 9-12 at the Muirfield Village Golf Club. The tournament will be held one week in advance of the Memorial Tournament which takes place the following week. Muirfield was designed by Jack Nicklaus and Dublin is a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, where Nicklaus was born. The Workday Charity Open will feature a field of 156-player field and a prize purse of $6.2 million dollars.

The Workday Charity Open will replace the John Deere Classic on the 2020 PGA Tour schedule, but the John Deere Classic will return to the schedule in 2021. The Workday Charity Open will be played without fans, and it is expected to be the last event before the PGA Tour welcomes back fans next week. “We are extremely pleased to join with Workday and Muirfield Village Golf Club to present this new event as we continue our Return to Golf efforts,” said Andy Pazder, Chief Tournament & Competitions Officer for the PGA Tour to the media, “Memorial Tournament host Jack Nicklaus has always done what is best for the game of golf and in these unprecedented times, we are most appreciative of his Muirfield Village Golf Club hosting the event the week prior to the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide.”
The Workday Charity Open will feature shorter rough and slower green speeds in addition to different pin positions that are used for the Memorial Tournament. Muirfield was designed by Nicklaus who named it after Muirfield, Scotland, where he won the British Open in 1966. The golf club at Muirfield Village opened in 1974 and has hosted a number of top events including the 1987 Ryder Cup and the 2013 Presidents Cup.
