The 8th event of the 14-event LIV Golf season, LIV Golf Houston, takes place from Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9 at the Golf Club of Houston. Brooks Koepka is the latest LIV Golf winner, as he took the title in Singapore. Koepka became the first player to win four LIV Golf individual titles and Cameron Smith’s Ripper GC team won the team title, making it two in a row, as Ripper GC also won in Adelaide. Niemann remains the leader in the individual standings, while Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC team remains the leader in the team standings. The LIV Golf Houston event will be a 54-hole event with normal scoring and no cut and also include team play. The purse for this event is $25 million with a $20 million dollar purse for the individual players and $5 million for team play. The individual winner gets $4 million dollars, while the winning team shares $3 million. Jon Rahm is once again listed as the LIV Golf betting favorite to win this event in Houston at odds of +800, followed by Niemann at odds of +900.

The Houston Golf Club Tournament Course was designed by Rees Jones and David Toms. It opened in 2005 and ranks as one of the top 50 courses in Texas. The course hosted the Houston Open until 2019. It features multi-tiered greens and has several water hazards. The par-4 12th hole should be a drivable hole for most players. The greens are Mini Verde grass. Patrick Reed was born in Texas and lives just outside of Houston so he should have a hometown advantage. “The crowds are going to be absolutely insane,” Reed said to the media, “I've been talking to so many people around here … and they're all pumped and excited for it.”
