LIV Golf Las Vegas Betting
The second event of the 2024 LIV Golf season is LIV Golf Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Country Club. The event will start a day earlier than most LIV events, with action beginning on Thursday, February 8 and concluding on Saturday, February 10. LIV Golf Las Vegas should get some big crowds this weekend with Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers set for Sunday in Las Vegas. LIV will be taking an idea from the PGA Tour, as the PGA Event in Phoenix has its “party hole” which is hole No. 16. At Las Vegas Country Club it will be the par 3 No. 8 hole, where 3,000 fans will crowd around the tee box and around the green. LIV held most of their events last year on weekends where the PGA did not have marquee events. That is not as much the case this year, as last week LIV went head-to-head against the Pebble Beach Pro-Am but LIV got a huge break when bad weather washed away the final round of the PGA event. This week LIV Golf goes up against the PGA’s WM Phoenix Open. LIV Golf Las Vegas will be a 54-hole event with normal scoring and no cut and also include team play. Reigning Masters champion Jon Rahm is listed as the golf betting favorite to win this event. The LIV Tour will have 14 events this season and all 14 of the tournaments can be seen on the CW Network in the United States.
There will be 13 teams in 2024 with the big-name players serving as captains. The Las Vegas Country Club was designed by Edmund B. Ault and renovated by Ron Garl in 1981. It was changed again in 2009 by Mark Rathert. It is a traditional, tree-lined course that measures 7,203 yards and is a par 72. The Las Vegas Invitational on the PGA Tour was played on the Las Vegas Country Club course. The course features several lakes and back-to-back par 5 holes on the 9th and 10th holes.
The LIV Golf Las Vegas event will feature reigning Masters Champion Jon Rahm, former world No. 1’s Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Cameron Smith. They are joined by former World No. 1 Brooks Koepka, former U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, former Masters winner Patrick Reed and multiple major winner Phil Mickelson, among others.
