Manchester City F.C. English Premier League Odds
The Citizens have been one of the top teams in England over the past decade. Since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United, Manchester City has achieved a considerable amount of success. They have finished in the top four of the Premier League for eight straight seasons, and the club has claimed three EPL titles during that stretch. It’s been the longest sustained run Manchester City has ever seen, and the Citizens have shown no signs of slowing down.
It’s a far cry from where Manchester City was at the turn of the century. The Citizens were relegated at the end of the 1995-96 season, and they dropped down to the third tier of English football a short time later. Manchester City was able to quickly make it back to the top flight, but the club hovered around the middle of the table until it received new owners.
Manchester City has won five league championships, five FA Cups, five Football league Cups, and a Champions League title. Prior to this recent run, their most successful period in their history came in the late 1960s when they won the League Cup, the league championship, and the Champions League.

The Citizens broke a number of records during their romp through the Premier League last season. In Manchester City’s second year with Pep Guardiola at the helm, the Citizens set the record for most points in a season (100), most wins (32), most goals in a season (106), best goal differential (+79), and most consecutive victories (18). It was a banner year for the club even though they were knocked out of the Champions League in the Quarterfinals by Liverpool.
Manchester City only got stronger in the offseason too. They handed over a lot of quid to Leicester City to acquire playmaker Riyad Mahrez, and he is expected to immediately find his way into the starting lineup. It’s hard to find a weakness on this team after their dominance last season, and the Citizens are favorites to repeat as Premier League champions.
