Manchester United F.C. UEFA Champions League Odds
Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They are the most storied club in English football, and they have more fans in their fan club than any other team in the world.
Those fans are accustomed to success. Manchester United has won more trophies than any other English soccer team. They have finished at the top of the table 20 times, won 12 FA Cups, snagged five League Cups, and own a record 21 FA Community Shields. Those achievements have brought the club fame and fortune, and plenty of detractors as well.
Manchester United has made their mark in European competition too. The Red Devils won their first Champions League back in 1968, becoming the first English club to win the premier tournament in club football. They were able to beat Hibernians, FK Sarajevo, Gornik Zabrze, Real Madrid, and Benfica in order to win it all.
That title meant more than just a title too. It came 10 years after the Munich air disaster, an event that rocked the club to its core. Their plane crashed on the runway shortly after Manchester United had defeated Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League Quarterfinals, killing eight players on board.
Since then, the club has been able to grab four more major European titles. Manchester United won the 1991 UEFA Cup Winners Cup over Barcelona and they snared their second Champions League title when they defeated Bayern Munich in the 1999 Final. The Red Devils earned their third Champions League title after a thrilling shootout against Chelsea in the 2008 Final, and most recently won their first Europa League back in 2017.

Manchester United had unparalleled success during the tenure of Alex Ferguson. Ferguson won more titles than any other manager in club history by a wide margin and left Old Trafford as the best manager in the history of the Premier League.
It’s not easy to replace a legend, and Manchester United found that out the hard way. The club hired David Moyes, Ryan Giggs, and Louis van Gall over the span of a couple years, but none of the three worked out. Manchester United has seen its fortunes improve since the legendary Jose Mourinho was hired though.
Mourinho has slowly rebuilt the club and took the Red Devils to the Europa League championship in 2017. He led Manchester United to second place in the table last season, and the may be poised for Champions League success once more. Paul Pogba is back for another season and the club spent a lot of money to acquire Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk and Diogo Dalot from Porto in the summer. The midfield is very talented and they could win it all if one of their forwards steps up.
